I was walking in the halls, then crash! I looked up to see who I had run into, I didn't recognize the face. I looked up into the face of a boy, tan skin, chocolate brown eyes, easy smile, dark, flippy "Bieber" hair.
"Sorry shorty." He said as he walked off.
I just looked after him, mesmerized. He was gorgeous, His smile was so gentle, the scar under his left eye made him seem a little dangerous, and he was overall just cute. Later I found out that he was the new kid. His name was Kacey.

Later that day I realized he was in one of my classes. The teacher asked me to show him the ropes and catch him up on what we were doing.
He sat next to me, "Hey."
I looked at him, "Hey."
He studied me for a minute, "Aren't you the girl I bumped into this morning?"
I nodded.
"Sorry 'bout that." He said, then he said, "I'm Kacey."
I smiled, "I'm Layla."
He smiled back.
This was the beginning of a great friendship, and what I would soon call a beautiful nightmare.
