Chapter 1
We were all excited. Ash, Sam and Me. We were about to go on a once in a lifetime trip to America, all expenses paid. Flights, accommodation, transport and even $10,000 spending money each!
*one month earlier*
I'm sitting alone in my bedroom reading Divergent when I hear my phone ring. I stand up and walk over to my bed where my phone is, it's Sam.
'Hi', I say as I pick up the phone and put it to my ear.
'Hey, I'm at the local store an there's a raffle to win an all expenses paid trip to America for up to 3 people. It's $10 a ticket want me to buy some? It could be a chance for Ash, you and me to get away for a while. An all girls trip', Sam sounded excited about this whole thing.
'Who long until the raffle closes?', I ask, trying to figure out my expenses for the month.
'Today', she replied sounding like she had a giant grin on her face.
'I will take 5 tickets', I said as I smiled into the phone, Sam must have picked up on this by the way she replied.
'Wipe that smile off your face girl we haven't won yet.. Haha, okay Ash bought 5 too, so I guess I'll also get 5', it was loud in the background and there were lots of people yelling. 'I've got to go it's getting hectic in here'.
'Bye Sam'.
I hang up the phone and walk back to my chair to finish my book, not knowing how I would manage to pay for the tickets when I can barely afford to feed myself.
*back to the present*
'I can't believe we actually won!' I exclaimed as we walked into the airport ready to leave the country.
Sam and Ash smiled back, I could tell they were nervous about the flight because they weren't saying much. Neither of them have ever really liked planes.
I tried to make conversation a couple of times in the airport whilst waiting for the plane, but soon gave up when I figured it would just be easier to listen to music than try to make conversation with Sam and Ash.
After an excruciatingly boring 2 hours, we were finally called to board the plane. Sam and Ash both stood up and motioned for me to join them.
Once we had gone through security and all that we finaly got to sit down in our comfy 'first class' seats and relax. In the back of the seat in front of me, a tv screen sat, flashing a message at me. "Click here".
I tapped the 10 inch screen and a whole selection of movies appeared, I had no idea which to choose so I just hit the "random movie" button.
After everyone was on the plane and in their seats they put an announcement over the speakers explaining what to do in an emergency and stuff like that, then told us where the flight was going today. We were the first stop LA.
I never imagined America to look like this. Our mouths gaped open as we stepped off the plane and took in the beautiful surroundings. It was absolutely stunning.

Hope you like my story so far.
I'l try and update frequently, but with other comitments (school, horses, netball) I may find it hard to update, but I will try to update at least once a week.
