As I walk this path of hope
Glimpses of our past flood in
I feel I'm crawling on a rope
With sorrow tantalizing within.
I know I let you down
I can't put right anything now
Escaping out of this pain
Unless you show me how.
Wouldn't you give me a second chance
I regret I took a shameful stance
I won't expect you to fine
For the blunder has all been mine.
As I walked this beautiful path
Seemed a beauty 'coz you strode it
But it isn't beautiful now
As you ain't gracing it anymore..
Now those moments are long gone
As I remember my eyesight gets fizzy.
I don't know if you care about me
But I miss you may turn back and see
But I would be waiting for you at the lane
Under the same little tree.
I won't say I don't regret what I did
It would be a silly excuse
And the reality about excuses is
they never fail to amuse.
I still walk around with dry hope
With moist dead eyes,
I'm stranded
As I can't walk forward
And my heart wreaks as I look behind.
