“Gorgeous!"
She looked me up and down, and I posed with every blink of her eyes.
“An easy ten, or maybe a twelve” I kissed her on the cheeks. She was wearing a glossy white tube top, a fitted skirt, and Louboutin heels.
I got into her sports car, and she sped off. Yes! A night of booze—my stress will disappear tonight, I suddenly blushed.
Yeah, I think I really need to forget about what happened earlier too. Shocks, this is crazy! am I going crazy?
We arrived at the club that Kims close friend had recommended—it was her birthday, after all, so here we were. I danced so much on the dancefloor, smiling and greeting the birthday girl even though I didn’t personally know her. Maybe I was already tipsy, or maybe I’m just always like this.
“Kim! Is it just me or are there no cute guys here?! Or else, your friend’s party is boring! Don’t look for me if I change venues! Hahaha.”
She danced beside me and slapped my arm—ouch, that hurt! Then she suddenly handed me a cocktail.
Really?
She laughed and walked over to the table with her other friends. I just drank the cocktail I was holding and danced and danced until I got tired.
While I was dancing, I suddenly felt a hand on my waist. I smiled as I was pulled closer. I looked at his face and saw how handsome the man was.
Oh...
I quickly and sexily wrapped my arms around his neck and stared at his face. That handsome guy did the same—he stared right back. It was strange—he looked familiar.
“Not into hard drinks, I see?”He smiled at me looking at the cocktail , and I saw how white and beautiful his teeth were. Gosh, mine!
I smiled at him, admiring his perfect face. Wow, his jawline was so defined. I looked at his nose—it looked like it was sculpted by angels. Then to his lips—red, wet, and so kissable. Whoops.
“It’s okay. I’m fine with you staring at me all night. As long as it’s you…”He leaned into my ear, and I could feel his breath—it was hot.
“No, of course not. I *am* into hard drinks, handsome,”I said, shaking my head.
Embarrassing. I tried to shake off the fact that I had been staring at him so openly.
I nearly stuttered—how could I not, when he was so close? This handsome guy looked like an angel but still had that edge. How could he be so... surreal?
Shhhh… Get a grip, self. We’re just having fun, okay?
His hands roamed my back as we danced. Our bodies were touching. I gasped when he held me and pulled me toward a table. He got us two drinks and a shot of tequila.
“Let’s see how hard you can go” he said, handing me a shot of tequila. I frowned. Where’s the lemon and salt?
He just smiled—so handsome. Damn it.
“Don’t worry. You won’t taste the bitterness,”he winked.
I immediately took the glass, even though I was hesitant. I trusted him—he was handsome!
I stared into his eyes as I downed the tequila in one go. I never looked away from him—and he never looked away either.
When I tasted the bitter and burning flavor, I didn’t even get to react—he suddenly pulled me in and kissed me hard. *Shit.* His lips moved against mine with perfect rhythm. One hand on my nape, the other on my waist—he didn’t let go as he explored every inch of my mouth, devouring the tequila flavor. I couldn’t even taste the bitterness anymore—all I could taste was his sweetness. Finally, he let go of my now-red, puffy lips.
“See? No bitterness,” he whispered, gently brushing the corner of my lips and licking it. What is happening?! My stomach was fluttering like crazy.
My romantic high was suddenly interrupted when my phone vibrated. Shocks!
I stood up, and he quickly grabbed my wrist. I just smiled at him and gave him my number. Of course, it wasn’t my real number. I don’t date guys I randomly make out with in bars. So even though he was so handsome, it was still a no from the beginning.
He smiled as he sat on the couch, watching me walk away. What a shame, but it’s okay.
He’s… sweet.
I opened my phone—I was in the restroom now.
“Hey, Cherry, right?” said the person on the line.
“Y-yeah,” I said while fixing my makeup.
“Kim’s really messed up. I can’t go with her. Can you take her home? You’re with her, right?” And that’s it! I knew who this was—the birthday celebrant!
“Yeah, whatever. Where is she?”I asked.
“Look up. Second floor.”
“Gosh, always—ughhh. Okay, coming,” I sighed and ended the call. Hayyysst, Kim really can’t handle more than a few shots!
I facepalmed as I realized I had to take care of her again—just like always. Every single time she drinks too much!
---
“Thank youuuuuuhhhj,” she slurred.
“We’re at your house now! I’m borrowing your car, okay? I don’t have fare.” I rang the gatebell, and she collapsed drunkenly at their doorstep. I left her there and sped off in her sports car, heading home.
I parked Kim’s car in our garage and quietly made my way to my room. Gosh, I hope dad didn’t wake up.
As soon as I shut the door, I saw Joachim in the living room. He wasn’t asleep yet? I just walked normally toward the stairs when he spoke.
“Does he know?” he smirked.
I raised my eyebrow and headed straight to my room. I didn’t want to talk to him. I couldn’t even look at his face. I won’t answer him. I’m mad at him!
Of course dad knows I went out tonight. And besides—it’s Friday night. People are allowed to have fun sometimes! Duh!
I shut the door and flopped onto my soft bed. *Hayyyss,* when will I get my favorite bedsheet back? Of all the bedsheets, why did the maid have to send that one for laundry? Now I’m stuck with this Stitch bedsheet. Tsk—at least it’s cute. Cute?!! I cringed.
I didn’t realize how fast time flew—it was only 11:55 when I took Kim home, now it’s almost 1 AM!
