Om Namah Shivay.
Om Namah Shivay.
The Rajpurohit began chanting mantras in his deep and rhythmic voice, filling every corner of the mandir with devotion. The sound of the shankh (conch) followed with power and purity, as if announcing the presence of the divine itself.
Rajmaata Shivadhya folded her hands, her bangles clinking softly as she stepped forward. She lit the main diya with steady hands. Her expression was calm yet carrying the weight of unspoken prayers. Of the kingdom, of duty, and of sacrifice.
Om Tryambakam Yajamahe Sugandhim Pushtivardhanam.
The chants of maha mrityunjay Mantra rose in the Mandir area of the Rajmahal where Shivadhya began the aarti. She circled the flame before the deity, the golden light reflecting in her eyes. Behind her, the royal family stood in disciplined silence, while guards in traditional attire held their positions at the temple gates.
Urvaarukamiva Bandhanaan Mrityor Muksheeya Maa-Amritaat.
Flowers were offered by each member present inside the mandir, bells rang louder, and for a moment, time seemed to pause as if the entire kingdom bowed its head in that sacred space.
Om Tryambakam Yajamahe Sugandhim Pushtivardhanam.
Urvaarukamiva Bandhanaan Mrityor Muksheeya Maa-Amritaat.
The Rajpurohit repeated the mantras with the same deep voice and devotion as if ending something sacred with a kind of softness only a devotee preserves for their god.
Har Har Mahadev!
When the rituals ended, the Rajmaata touched the marble floor with her fingertips and then her forehead, sealing her devotion. Slowly, she rose and turned around while passing the thaal of aarti to Meera.
“Aviraj aur Rudrani kahan hai?”
(“Where are Aviraj and Rudrani?”)
She asked softly, fixing her gaze on Meera as she knew that Meera would be knowing about them. However, she didn't wait for any answer as she started walking out of the mandir. Every member followed her out after taking the aarti and prashad. Meera who was following her with the aarti plate spoke up.
“Raja Sa aur Rani Sa Bagh mein talwaron ka abhyaas kar rahe hai, Rajmaata.”
(“Raja Sa and Rani Sa are practicing sword fighting in the garden, Rajmata.”)
Shivadhya nodded her head slowly as if observing the words and turned her steps towards the royal garden where Aviraj and Rudrani were present, doing their sword practice. Meera followed her while walking behind her, the aarti plate was still in her hand.
