"That's it?"

Taehyung raised an eyebrow, his expression falling as he stared at his grandma sitting in front of him. "What do you mean that's it? Nana, we were hacked— you were hacked! And Jeongguk is a CEO now and I have a book published—

"No, I mean. That's all you could have said during your proposal?" She directed that question to Jeongguk who sat next to Taehyung, her brown eyes squinted.

Jeongguk took a deep breath, getting ready for a scolding. This is the one person he will always respect the most. He lowered his head. "I'm sorry, I could have said better things."

"Nana~" Taehyung whined like a little kid. "The proposal was perfect the way it is!"

"But why in the kitchen?" She questioned, "The location matters as much as your words."

Jeongguk lowered his head a bit more. "I'm sorry, Nana—

"Stop apologizing, Jeongguk!"

The woman laughed softly. "It's so easy to rage-bait you, Taehyungie," she smiled softly. "I'm just kidding."

Jeongguk sighed in relief. "We know about your high expectations, that's why."

She smiled. "I never had any expectations from you two, though. I always knew you would find your paths on your own. And look where this has gotten you."

Taehyung and Jeongguk looked at each other, quietly reminiscing again. Yes, they did come far. Together.

Car accidents, college, secrets, different dreams, different cities, miscommunications, a psychotic secretary— and none of that managed to separate the two from each other, even if it once attempted to.

They have grown, stronger, as they learned while experiencing all these hardships. Now they are married, have their own cozy home, have full time jobs.

Jeongguk now finally understood what it meant to be the CEO of a publishing firm, taking his role by heart. Because as you know, he loves books even though he hates reading them. Simply because they are what his husband loves most.

And Taehyung finally has published his first book, of course through Jeongguk's firm, since the ravenette would have never let him publish it somewhere else.

Taehyung's book was a hit.

People loved the raw emotions, the truth about how human relationships begin, develop, end.

"I read your book, honey," Hana redirected the conversation.

"YOU DID?" Taehyung and Jeongguk both asked at the same time, equally excited, equally surprised and equally eager to know what she is thinking about it.

She nodded, squinting her eyes at the couple. "I always knew it wasn't a fall from stairs why you were in the hospital, Jeongguk."

Guilty, Taehyung scratched his head, while Jeongguk pressed his lips together.

"I learned to be more careful when crossing the street," Taehyung confirmed.
