ALAN KREST:

21st Nov,2028.

The last time I saw Amy was when she walked down the aisle in a white flowing dress. She looked radiant and her cheek bones are visible. I don't remember her cheek bones every being so accentuated, they are high like you see in a film star yet they are original.

Don't ask me how I know.

She is Amy and when anything concerned with her, I know it.

I remember sitting in the second lane. Reserved by her mother for she Amy wanted me to be her family. I wore a midnight blue suit she loved.

When the wedding march started, we all stood up. The bride veiled with rose pink walked along the carpet made of flowers[It was Elena's idea ,I presume].Her light steps silently fell on the granite floor, her veil decked with flower flowed like liquid silk. The touch of fabric is velvet as well. As her mother walked down the aisle, the priest indicated that we all should sit down.

I sat adjusting the tail of coat as she walked to front of the aisle and her mother gave her hand to Ron.

Let me be honest with you reader. I don't remember the name of person she is marrying. I don't even know if he was legible, I don't know if he knows how much she liked to have a car that she could drive along the dark gravel roads of Pember. I don't know if he knows how much she likes to sleep till twelve in the afternoon or I bet he doesn't know how much she like to procastinate.

If a work needs to be done on Sunday, she would shout at us and start in on the eve of Sunday. Her fingers strike the laptop with thunder speed while her eyes move from one page to another like she was having a vision or having a  paralysis attack. We could never tell the difference.

I looked at the newly weds. The vows are being exchanged. The rings exchanged and as her veil is lifted, I could feel the guilt rising from the depths of my heart, slowly following through my veins.

If only I could have supported her when she needed me, she would have been mine. If only I didn't abandon when she needed me the most she would have been mine....she would have been mine....she would have mine.

I closed my eyes, letting the tears flow freely.

"Psstt..."I heard a sound from behind. As I turned back, I saw Patrick... fucking Patrick sitting in the row right behind me. Is she out of her mind? Inviting him to her marriage. She must've been high on meth when she was preparing the list of invites. How the fuck did he land in the next row, after me? Am I seriously the same level as him? I don't think so.

"How're you? " He asked, leaning forward he placed his hand on the arm of chair.

"What?" I said. I turned front. I could feel him stand up from his chair. He walked in front of me and asked the person sitting beside to change his seat and he sat down. What fresh hell am I in now? The girl I loved for ten years is getting married and this prick who dated her for five years is sitting beside me? What the hell!!!what the hell!!!

"You do know if you cry now,  they're gonna think you're crying for her," he asked. Can't he be quite and let me have my moment.

"Why the hell do you think I'm crying."

"To get her back. Bro, did you really think she's gonna fall for your tears. If she does, you can't beat me in that category. I could cry rivers."

"Don't you fucking think about her. You had your chance and you let her go."

"That's true atleast I got a chance, unlike you, you unrequited lover." He paused looking to the front. I turned my eyes sideways to see if he was actually trying to cry. His nose was red at the tip and his eyes are puffy but for now he looked like a person who is having a bad day of cold.

"Do you think they will ask if anyone has any objections regarding the marriage." I closed my eyes trying to calm my nerves.

"Do you think if I had that chance I wouldn't use it? You see that guy over there." I pointed towards a big bulky man standing in a striking suit. A woman who is in her thrities stood with a small girl dressed in pink in her arms.

"That's her brother in law, and that dude there is her brother. You make a single move, they will have you for dinner. Unlike us, they have balls to defend her." He stayed quiet for the remaining time.

"How the hell did you get an invite? I thought she isn't talking to you or don't know your whereabouts."

"She didn't invite me." Ha! freeloader. What are the chances. Really!!What are the chances!!

I didn't poke him further as he moved into a comfortable position I looked at the two people exchanging rings and then as they both kissed I could feel the darkness finally conjuring me.

"Dude do you have a car ,I need a ride."

Why the hell is god punishing me!!
