Every year from September 15 to the end of October is an important time to highlight the experiences of those with ancestral heritage from Mexico, Spain, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. It's Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month across North America — and on Wattpad, too. Many with Hispanic and Latinx roots call the Wattpad community a home away from home, where they can write, create, and express freely. You are an integral part of our social fabric.
Stories focused on the Hispanic and Latinx experience provide a safe place to be fearlessly, ruthlessly authentic. For those not part of this community, it's an opportunity to educate, explore, and open your mind. Through reading and writing these stories, the community becomes closer. Culture gaps close, stigma is smashed, and barriers are broken. Hispanic and Latinx culture breaks barriers year round, and the need for representation and visibility is central to encouraging and inspiring youth to keep creating inspirational work.

Hola, Wattpaders
Cada año, desde el 15 de septiembre hasta finales de octubre, es un momento importante para destacar la experiencia de aquellos con la herencia ancestral de México, España, el Caribe, y el centro y sur de América. En todo Norteamérica se celebra el Mes de la Herencia Hispana y Latina, y en Wattpad también. Muchos miembros de la comunidad con raíces hispanas y latinas llaman a Wattpad un hogar fuera de casa donde pueden escribir, crear y expresarse libremente. Y por eso son una parte integral de nuestra estructura social.
Las historias enfocadas en la experiencia hispana y latina ofrecen un lugar seguro para no tener miedo y ser completamente auténticos. Y para aquellos que no son parte de esta comunidad, son una oportunidad para educarse, explorar y abrir su mente. Al leer y escribir estas historias, la comunidad se vuelve más unida. Se cierran las brechas culturales y los estigmas y las barreras se rompen. La cultura hispana y latina rompe barreras todo el año, por lo que la necesidad de representación y visibilidad es fundamental para fomentar e inspirar a la juventud a seguir creando historias inspiradoras.
