Chapter one Victoria
Knocking on heavens door 🎵bob Dylan
My eyes slowly open to the sound of yelling' I sit up in bed rubbing my eyes as I turn on my phone looking at the time 6:40' I get out of bed since school starts in an hour and it's my first day' I go into the bathroom brushing my teeth and changing into my new clothes I hadn't had new clothes in forever but it was my freshman year so my mother was forced to buy me clothes.
I put on my new uniform looking at myself in the mirror' I hated how I looked I was too thin and pale I was short 5,0' and was dead in the eyes' I rub foundation on my face and put on mascara' suddenly I hear a knock on the door.
"Vicky hurry up I need to brush my teeth" my brother Adam yells over my parents yelling
"Okay just give me a sec" I say putting my pink bow in my hair and opening the door
My older brother stares down at me "after school don't come home walk to Lizzie's apartment all be there" he says
"Okay" I mumble and he sighs grabbing his toothbrush
"High school is different okay? Don't fuck around with any sluts or guys who just want you for one thing and stand up for yourself I don't wanna have to pick you up because some whores pushed you and you didn't fight back" Adam says
"Sure whatever" I mumble rolling my eyes
He grabs my arm as I walk to the door "do you understand! Or our you just ignoring me' don't act like you're so fucking tough" he looks down at me with a harsh glare.

I move out of his hold walking downstairs swallowing down the pit of nerves in my stomach.
I go into the kitchen seeing my dad in a fit of anger and my mom crying like usual
She sees me and her gaze softens
"Hi sweetie I made you a lunch" she says handing me a brown bag
I take the lunch "thanks" I say
"Don't cause trouble you stupid girl you're brother is already the pice of shit failure" my dad says
I ignore him walking out the door
"Baby wait you- my mom says but I had already left

Me and my friends Isabella and Brooke walk into the school building
"I can't believe were freshman's" Brooke says
"I know!" Isabella says texting her boyfriend on her phone
"Vicky you seem sad" Brooke says
"Oh I'm fine just a little tired" I say

Later that night
Me Brooke and Isabella had decided to go to the welcome to school party hosted by one of the seniors
We walk in hearing the loud music and flashing lights with hundreds of people
Isabella walks away with her boyfriend josh probably going to make out or something' while Brooke walks away to go dance I stand there feeling like I don't belong there' I walk over to the drinking station and grab a shot of vodka' suddenly I notice a tall man about (6,4) looking at me his sharp dark green eyes making him look almost intimidating.
I walk away grabbing a beer and going out to the pool I take my t shirt off only in my pink bikini' i take a sip of my beer I turn around and gasp as I see the same man taking a step back I accidentally slip into the pool I fall in sinking into the water I struggle trying to swim.
I can't fucking swim.
I suddenly feel the weight of someone jumping and hands wrapping around my waist pulling me up.
I cling to him wrapping my legs around his chest terrified of the water' as he holds me out of the water.
"What the hell you scared me" I say not even letting my toe hit the cold pool water as I cling to his large muscle frame.
"You fell backwards that not my fault sweetheart." He says sitting me down on the pavement "all get you a towel and bring you to my bedroom" he says
"Hell no" I slur taking a sip of my beer
He grabs my jaw with a aching grip
"You're drunk and you need to sleep it off' now come on" he says grabbing my arm and lifting me off the ground wrapping me in a towel and picking me up.
I felt dizzy my head spinning' I start to close my eyes everything going black.
