As Cricket was speaking to the snake, trying to see if it was fine, a man would appear—more like a lot of men. They all seemed to possess those weird tattoos on their bodies.
They all looked like warriors, not booty warriors, but actual warriors.
"Where Eneru?" the Shandian would ask.
Then, one of them would make eye contact with Kairo.
"YOU!" Hm, he sounded like he had seen Kairo before. Then, their gaze went to Enel.
His head had been chopped clean off.
Then back to Kairo's axe, which had some light blood on it. Surprisingly, even if Enel's head had been cut off, no blood was pouring out of him, like nothing at all. As a matter of fact, it didn't even look like he had blood left in his body.
Well, that was to be expected, considering how Kairo just ripped out his devil fruit from his body and practically incinerated him.
On another note—he had taken some samples from Enel's blood like he did for Crocodile. If the piece of hair he thought was Gol D. Roger ended up being Luffy, at least he could summon Crocodile and Enel to fight for him.
Even if technically he hadn't fully mastered the technique yet, he knew the basics. And while yes, the reanimation couldn't be stronger than the original, they would have infinite energy and insane regen, so they'd probably be stronger than their human selves.
Strangely, the memory for that certain jutsu was very promising in his mind. Tobirama was quite thorough.
Kairo would need bodies to practice his jutsu. The bodies of the four priests should do.
Spreading his senses further, he felt it—only three of them were left alive. Zoro killed his.
Luffy allowed his to live. Sanji's one was barely holding on to life and would die soon, and even at full speed Kairo wouldn't get there in time.
And Usopp and Nami's one was alive, just knocked out and probably paralyzed for the rest of his life.
So he had a viable solution, and that was Luffy's and Usopp's ones.
Hm. Yeah, they would do just fine. Experimenting with the soul should be nice.
The Shandorians seemed glad that Enel was dead. Some didn't even seem to believe it.
When they asked who defeated him, Kairo simply said:
"My captain weakened him heavily. I simply dealt the finishing blow."
Kairo felt like Luffy was against killing people, but still, using Gear 3 on a regular ass dude should definitely count for something. It's not like he goes soft on people.
They looked at Luffy, the lovable idiot who had a grin on his face.
Then back at Enel.
Anyway, Kairo would look up.
"So, Mont Blanc Cricket, want to ring that bell?"
Wow. That was a really effective way to get the Shandorians to realize something.
Wyper in particular would look at the old man. The snake was currently acting like a pet to said old man, which further showed the connection.
So Kairo wasn't lying.
As we flashback to a few days ago:
"I won't reveal anything. You can try and kill me, I won't reveal shit to the likes of you." Wyper looked like an angry chihuahua.
"Mont Blanc Cricket, descendant of Noland, wishes to come up here. Down below, everyone on the surface believes he lied about the city of gold. Will you or will you not help him get back?"
As for how Kairo knew that—he had watched videos online on One Piece theory, and Noland came up in one of those comparisons. Something like sun and moon, Joyboy being the sun, Imu being the moon. Four hundred years ago, it was Noland and that red-haired guy named Calgara or some shit like that.
Then Xebec and Roger.
And currently, Blackbeard and Luffy. He forgot the name of the video—all he remembered was that Noland was name-dropped and like 15 seconds were spared to explain some basic shit about him.
And when he heard Cricket's full name, it clicked in his mind. It clicked later, since he went to Skypiea before meeting Cricket, but he simply knew that name would get him some answers.
And like he believed, after a while, Wyper began speaking. When he explained everything he knew, he made a deal with Wyper.
His captain would defeat Enel, and Wyper would allow the descendant of the man to hear the bell. To be fair, Wyper said that wasn't fair to Kairo since Wyper himself had been trying to do it.
His ancestor wanted this to happen, so he would.
So Kairo changed it to his true purpose: the gold.
So yeah, all of the gold here was free real estate.
The Shandorians get their land back, and Kairo gets a shit ton of gold.
But first, he had better stuff to do.
While Luffy was talking to the Shandorians, Kairo would jump down.
It would take him a while, but he would eventually find the two bodies he needed.
A devious smile would make itself known on his lips.
Oh... this... this was going to be fun.
Time to experiment with this new jutsu of his.
