(This was my first story ever...soo...excuse all the mis spellings and the all over the placeness :P)
Chapter 1
It was a Tuesday, when the hottest guy in school came up to me, and asked ME to go to the prom with him. Out of all people, he asked me. Garrett Huggins, the finest boy you would ever see in Balten County. With dirty blonde hair and the most amazing hazel eyes.. He was the catcher for the baseball team. He also just broke up with his girlfriend Hilary(Score on my part), the popular evil witch brunette. While me, I was almost 5’7 in height, with layered, dirty blonde hair that went to my shoulders. I had baby blue eyes and a adorable smile(from what I'm told) I wasn’t in the popular group, though, I was a sporty kind of girl. I played Pitcher and 2nd for my high school team.
It was lunch time. Me and my friends, Madyson, who has brown hair that was scrunched up, with her red tank and blue jeans kinda tainted, and Annie, who was wearing a softball shirt and some khakis, were sitting there, talking, when I saw Garrett. His hazel eyes met my blue ones. He smiled at me, got up, and started coming my way.
“Kaylen, Garrett’s coming!” Madyson said, while nudging my side with her elbow.
Garrett stopped in front of me, got down on one knee, and smiled.
We have been friends since 2nd grade, but this, looking into each other’s eyes moment, hasn’t happened since 5th grade. I was so in love then, but love then considered that butterfly feeling and holding hands.
“Hey.” He said in that very deep voice of his.
“Hey.” I replied, smiling.
“So, since I don’t have a date for prom yet, I was wondering, would you like to come with me?”
I stared at him. Is this for real? I thought. “I-I-I would love to.” I stuttered.
Garrett then stood up and said, “Cool! I’ll see ya around, Kaylen.” Then he left.
“Bye Garrett.” I breathed.
Madyson and Annie stared at me in shock. “YOU HAVE A DATE WITH GARRETT HUGGINS!” Madyson shouted in excitement.
“Yeah, what she said.” Annie squealed.
I had to be the happiest girl ever! But then, Hillary wasn’t pleased. She started walking my way in her pink heels, with a matching pink vest jacket on top of a white shirt and a skirt.
“So, you and Garrett, my boyfriend, are going to prom I hear.” She sneered. Her green eyes enraged.
“Yeah, kind of, do you have a problem with it? Oh, and you mean ex boyfriend.” I said confidently.
“No, not really. Just that you’re going with a total hottie, when you’re a total nottey.” She laughed with Amber and Carson. The blonde minions were wearing the same thing as their queen bee.
“Really? Then why did Garrett break up with poor little you and asked me out? Oh, but you were right, I’m not just a hottie, ‘coz I’m smokin’ and I have real friends.” I said while laughing. Hilary just stood there, shocked that I defended myself.
When lunch was over, I got up and headed to class. Garrett had this Biology period with me. When I was headed out, Garrett came up and put his arm around me. I put my head on his shoulder. We got to class and took our seats. I also had this class with Lindsey. She was a blonde beauty with hazel eyes. We sat together and listened to Mr. Crook.

The day went by fast and we were on our way to the bus. I told Garrett that I’ll give him a call later, while Annie and I rode the bus.
“Kaylen, you and Garrett are going to dance at the Moonlight Dance! This has been your dream since fourth grade!” Annie said.
“I know! It’s now coming true! I never stopped believing that it would happen.” I said dreamily.
“All the girls will be jealous! ”
“I know, right?” We talked on and on, until the bus got to my house. I gave Annie a quick “Bye.” and got off.
I saw that my brother, Ryan, was already home. His truck was there. Ryan had blackish brown hair and was really tall. He was cute too, but he’s my brother. And we don’t like incest here. He’s going to college next year, to be a doctor.
I already did my homework in class, so I was good. I went outside where Ryan was playing basketball. He seemed happy. I wonder why?
“Why do you seem so happy, big bro?”
“Well, I asked Tiffany to the prom and she said YES!” Ryan had a huge crush on that girl since fifth grade. She had pretty blonde hair and was as tall as Ry. She was gorgeous with pearly white teeth and …
“And if we stay together, I’ll propose to her in college.” That broke my chain of thought. He was so happy. I hope all goes well.
We played more ball until I got tired and went inside.
“Mom, guess what!”
"What is it?"
"Guess who asked me to prom?" I asked, smiling widely.
"Who?”
"GARRETT!" I screamed with delight.
"Garrett Huggins, he’s a nice boy." My daddy said.
"I’m happy for you sweetie."My mom said. I was done with my food and Ryan started telling our parents about Tiffany. I went to my room after dinner and checked my homework. I was so tired that I went to bed early.

I woke up to my alarm. I got up and brushed my hair and ate some breakfast. I got ready for school and headed out.
When I arrived at school I saw Madyson standing around.
"Hey, Mad." I said
Madyson saw me and ran over. “Hey Kaylen, so, I’m going dress shopping this Saturday, you wanna come? Annie’s coming and I’m going to ask Lindsey too.”
"Yea I'll come." Madyson and I walked over to Lindsey.
"Hey girls." LuLu said in her country voice. LuLu was her nickname, I don't remember exactly how she got it.
I wonder where Annie was? I saw Garrett pull up with his brother Holden. He had a black mustang. Garrett was the first one to come out. He was wearing a tight white shirt and jeans. He walked over to where I was.
“Hey, Kaylen, what’s up?”
"Nothing, I didn’t know Holden had a car."
"Yeah, I think the car looks sick."
"Yeah, and I know how much you love cars." I giggled. And he joined in with laughter.
“I don’t know why I didn’t ask you out in the first place, when we were in middle school.” I smiled at that.
The bell rang and we all went to class. My first period was History, Madyson, Annie and I had this class. Mrs.Hows taught us about … well, you know, history. The day went partley fast. Passing through the halls, bumping into Garrett. I still feel like this was all a dream, me and him that is.
The final bell rang and I walked out of my class to meet my brother at his truck
“How was your day?” Ryan brother asked.
“It was good, how was yours? Did you and Tiffany talk?” I asked back.
"My day was great and yes, we did talk. We sat at lunch together. And she gave me a goodbye kiss." He said laughing, wiggling his eyebrows on the last part. I used to tell Ryan that he should be a comedian. He always brings up something funny in everything he says.
Chapter 2
We got home and I called Annie.
"Hellllllllo?" I heard Annie pick up.
"Annie, why the heck did you miss school today?"I
"Well, I hurt my ankle while I was practicing catching."
"Oh, well, Madyson was wondering if you wanted to come along with us dress shopping Saturday?"
"Sure, why not. I don't have anything else to do."
"Great! Ryan will be taking is, so we'll be sure to pick you up saturday." I said with excitment.
"Alright, later." She said back and hung up.
Once I put down the phone, I did my homework and checked it over. I drifted off during my homework check over.

I woke up, but my alarm didn’t go off. I checked the time and it was 11:23 already. WHAT? I got out of bed and went to Ryan’s room to wake him up.
"Ryan, Ryan Get up!"
"No, go away!"
"Ryan, we’re late for school"
"School was cancelled. They’re having a planning day. They called last night." I sighed in relief.
"Oh, sorry." I went back to my room and laid down.
When I got up, it was 12:48. I went to the kitchen, made me a sandwich and got some chips. I stayed in my pajamas but I brushed my teeth and my hair. I called Madyson and Lindsey.
"Hey, you guys." I said into the phone
"Hey, I'm so happy they cancelled school, tomorrow and today!" Madyson said.
"Yeah, it’s nice not to have school once in a while." Lindsey said.
"Annie said she'll come, she didn’t go to school because she sprained her ankle."
"Oh, poor Annie." They both said at the same time.
"Hey guys, I have to go. Someone’s calling."
"Ok, bye Kaylen." I hung up and picked up the other line.
"Hello?" I said into the line
"Hey, it’s Garrett. I was wondering if you wanna go to the movies tonight?"
OMG! Garrett just asked me to the movies.
“Of course I will!
"Alright, cool. I'll pick you up at, Seven'ish?" He sad back.
"Sounds great!
"Ha, nice. Well, see you then” As soon as we hung up, I called Annie, Madyson, and Lindsey. Thanks to the man who made conference calls possible.
"OH MY GOODNESS, YOU GUYS, GUESS WHAT!!" I said excitedly.
"What, what, what is it!" They all asked eagerly.
"Garrett just called, and he asked for me to go to the movies with him!"
"OMG, REALLY?" Annie said, matching my excitement. We were all squealing and laughing talking about Garrett’s phone call.
"Yeah, okay, I have to go get ready, so talk to you guys later!" They all said bye and I hung up once again. I went and got on an American Eagle shirt and some jeans and my Nike’s. I heard someone knock on the front door. I rushed to open it and it revealed Garrett. He was wearing a leather jacket and a tight black shirt underneath, baby jeans and tom's.
“Ready to go?” He asked.
“Yeah, I’m ready.”
We went out and got into his car. We drove off to the movies, I don't know if he was nerves, but I sure was.
We went in and bought tickets to the new Harry Potter film. We went inside and sat down with our popcorn and sodas.
“Just like old times, huh?” Garrett declared.
“Yeah, I missed those days.” I replied.
We fell into a comfortable silence as the movie started. The movie was great, plus Garrett put his arm around me. It was kinda weird at first but it was alright. The movie ended and we left.
“Maybe we can do this again soon.” Garrett suggested.
“I would like that.” I said.
He and dropped me off at home. I took a shower and did my evening rituals. I already ate so I talked to my family in the dinner table. Afterwards, I went to my roomand I turned on the T.V. and watched until I slowly fell asleep.
