woke up too early - seven a.m. -
waiting for the scores to come.
anxiety boils in my brain as i boil some water
for a warm cuppa harney and son paris tea.
at 8 on the dot, i refresh the page,
check the scores and -
holy shit.
a 5?!
i jumped with joy.
the rest of the day was spent well,
with hours and hours of work going toward
creating little drawings of nonexistent people and
watching musicals acted out upon a stage.
laptop returned, i began to write
and imagined what life would be like
if only every day felt this great.
today was a good day, and this is why.
