Leo is quiet, careful, and always watching the exits. Maddie is loud, steady, and impossible to ignore. Their connection isn't instant-but it's real. And when life starts to unravel, it's Maddie who stays. Even when Leo pushes her away. Especially then. This is a story about falling in love for the first time when your heart is still learning how to beat. About finding safety in someone else's hands... and daring to believe you deserve it. Story Snippet: ---- Then her voice floated out, light and casual: "Leo?" He looked up. The door cracked open a little, steam curling out, and Maddie peeked through-cheeks flushed from the heat, water dripping from the ends of her hair and trailing down the slope of her collarbone. She wasn't holding a towel. She wasn't really holding anything. Just leaned in the doorway, chin tilted up, the corner of her lip quirked slightly. "Can you grab my towel?" she asked, almost too casually. "I left it on the bed." His heart stuttered. "Uh-yeah. Yeah, of course." He scrambled up. "And my clothes? The ones I left out." Her voice lowered just a little, almost teasing. "Also... do you have a zip-up I can borrow?" He found himself nodding before he could think, already pulling the folded towel into his hands, then her clothes-still neatly laid out like she'd planned it. He grabbed her skincare pouch from the nightstand too. Last thing she'd want was to forget that. Then he paused at his duffel, rifling through until he found one of his hoodies. The grey one. Oversized. Definitely too big on her, which suddenly made his brain short-circuit even more. He knocked lightly on the doorframe. "Got everything." "Come in a little," she murmured from behind the door, cracking it open just an inch more. "Just... don't look." ---- - Content Warnings: emotional abuse, coercion, trauma recovery, PTSD, healing after SA - 70,000-210,00 words in total - BOOK 2 IS CONFIRMED!!!!! *Destined to Be series book one. Not necessary to read Book one before book two.* Achievements: #1 in Lesbianromance [August 14th, 2019] #4 in Lesbian [September 30th, 2019] #5 in GirlxGirl [August 26, 2019] Avery has had a tough life, a very tough life. She feels like the universe is forever against her. And never thought that, even after everything she's endured, she would ever get her 'Happily Ever After'. Then one day she thinks it may be possible. The woman she had been in love with for years, finally returns her feelings. Avery was finally happy, the woman she loved so much for so long, finally loved her back. Her 'Happily Ever After' was within reach. At least that's what she thought, until the woman managed to shatter Avery's already broken heart into a million pieces. Months later, the wound still fresh, she packs up her stuff and moves back to the city where she was born. She thinks being in a different city and reconnecting with her childhood best friend, will help her heal. But, nothing seems to change at all. At least not until one night about 2 months later. Her friend drags her to a club. To get her friend off her back, she finds a girl to pick up. She expected for it to be a one night stand and that was it but she desperately wants to see the woman again. And she ends up getting her wish but the next time they see each other it's in one of the most unexpected of situations. Just when she was starting to think that she might be able to be happy again, it all goes to crap. Her life seems to be a never ending string of heart break. Maybe the whole universe really is against her. Warning: This story's going to get a bit dark/depressing. And even though it's clearly labeled as such but I still feel I need to say this is a mature girlxgirl story so there will be sex. Also don't read if you have a problem w/ the word fuck because I use it quite liberally.

Kael never wanted to come to Lysena: a prosperous matriarchal world where women hold social power and men are expected to know their place. But when his family's transport ship is forced to make an emergency stop, they find themselves stranded in a society that challenges everything Kael believes about freedom, authority, attraction, and what it means to be a man. Far from home, Kael struggles to adapt to life on Lysena. He hates the rules. He hates the attention. Most of all, he hates Sari: sharp-tongued, clever, and impossible to ignore. She seems to take endless pleasure in flustering him, turning every conversation into a game he can never quite win. But the more Kael resists her, the more tangled their rivalry becomes. Every tease, every challenge, every brush of her hand leaves him unsettled in ways he doesn't understand. And when surrender begins to feel less like defeat and more like desire, Kael is forced to confront a truth he never expected: Maybe he doesn't want to escape Lysena after all. He swore he'd never bend. She swore she'd make him hers.

Luca prefers the shadows-the quiet corner of the classroom, the sidelines of the field, and the solitude of his thoughts. Transferred to a new school under unclear circumstances, he keeps his distance from everyone. Life is easier that way. No connections, no risks, no pain. But Alya, the ever-cheerful class representative, isn't having it. She's determined to pull him out of his shell, breaking down his walls with her kindness and persistence. Slowly, Leon begins to trust her. Slowly, he begins to believe she might truly care. But people aren't always what they seem. As Alya gains Luca's trust, her sweetness begins to sour, and her true nature emerges-manipulative, cruel, and relentless. She takes control of his world, twisting it to suit her desires, leaving him trapped in a dangerous game of trust, betrayal, and power. In a world where kindness masks cruelty and solitude seems like salvation, Luca must decide how far he's willing to go to reclaim control of his life-or if he even wants to. Dark, twisted, and raw, Threads of Control explores the thin line between love and control, and what happens when the one person you trust becomes your tormentor.
