The Manufacturers have announced the release of a new type of android soon to be available for adoption - Type 7s. The news has caused a wave of anticipation around the world, and the 7s promised a new host of lifelike features for parents to adore in their children. Saiyo is a Type 6 android and a Capricorn, and has spent all her 16 years in an orphanage. She longs for the independence her 18th birthday will bring her, and her biggest worry is simply that she'll be adopted before then. However, some time before the 7s are supposed to be available, an interesting package is dropped off at the doorstep of Saiyo's orphanage. Suddenly she finds herself knowing far, far too much for her own good, and is forced onto the run with not only her life on the line but that of a human newborn baby. A dark plot is underfoot, and Saiyo knows the only way she'll be free is if she gets to the bottom of it...but who can she really trust?
