I wrote it based on my own sort of epiphany I had. It wasn't exactly the same sort of deal with my unnamed character in the story, I was just bored and zoned out during Biology, and got to thinking about life. Asking the questions, What is it? Why does it exist? What happens when it ends? All the standard ones, but then the answers led to more questions, and eventually I came up with "The Chain Mail Theory". Do I believe it's true myself? I have an open mind and consider it possible, but I really did like the idea of making a story out of it. I personally feel that "The Chain Mail Theory" is just open to interpretation.
