Born into a brutal world, there are very few options available for the future of humanity. Wall Maria has fallen, leaving titans roaming wall maria, not leaving much food, land, or hope for the remaining population. Many feel brightness cannot be born into such a dark world. Two young soldiers may be the ones to prove this wrong.

On the interior of wall Rose, recruits Marco and Jean appear to be complete opposites. Yet, while in the most of their training, the young cadets prove that it seems opposites attract. Despite what most think, Jean and Marco may be a lot more similar than they realize. Through their fast friendship, they discover dark secrets harbored, new emotions, and the truth. Sometimes, though, the truth is better left undiscovered.

This story is in the third person and takes place in the training arc. This explains more about some of my possible theories and plays off some popular theories about Marco and Jean. It mostly follows the plot of the anime but a lot of it is my creative interpretation. Lots of the story is character based. With no motives, and no weapon, the murder is virtually unsolvable. But this isn't the first time a case like this has occurred. A mere three months ago, the younger sister of Brielle Serventell vanished and never returned. While her and her mother are still mourning, Brielle suspects these two cases might be connected somehow. What Brielle finds may leave her wishing she had never tried to understand, because sometimes the truths are worse than the lies.

Drama, murder, crime, and one complicated family. This story is a roller coaster of emotions, but a spectacular ride.
Start Reading

The River's Edge
