Not being able to shift can really take its toll on someone. But for Lily, she's gotten used to it. Of course she craves to be a werewolf and run along with the pack instead of jumping from tree to tree like a squirrel but what can you do? Get kidnapped sounds like a good idea. "I mean, you're a human who kind of belongs to my pack now. Since you know, you crossed" he said, still advancing towards me. "But... but by crossing the boundary wouldn't you belong... belong to ours then?" I said as he reached. His heavy body rested on mine, letting me feel his heartbeat. His was slow and steady. Mine was probably going on like a bee who had gotten his honey stolen. "You're observant. But it only counts if I was caught" "But you were caught" I said as his hand twirled a strand of my hair once again. "By who?" he said, putting the strand behind my ear. "M-me" I said, trying to sound brave. I never sounded brave. Not even when I was. "Yet, you're not going to be able to tell anyone" he smiled. "Why... why not?" "Because you're mine now" Posted on 17 June 2017

Lily has finally found her mate. After being kidnapped, turned into a wolf and falling down countless trees its about time. Yet, even through all the perfect mushy things, something still seems off. Her mind keeps flickering to a certain somebody and there comes the question of: Was it a mistake? They say that when a werewolf finds their mate, they will be able to identify him from miles away. It comes at an instant. One minute you will still be falling through trees and the next you'll be faced with him. You'll be face with the dark hair, the perfect sculptured face. Everything will be perfect. Every puzzle piece will somehow fall into place and there will be no more sign of loss, anger, betrayal or even hatred. All those feelings will disappear and you'll be confronted with the most glorious feeling of happiness, love and lust. All directed at ONE specific person. Yet, when I dazedly looked at those two wolves staring at me - black spots and dizziness creating six godlike figures, those sirens did not halt as my eyes flickered between them. Here was two men. One I've known my whole life. We've shared a lifetime together. Those chocolate orbs eyes always glinting mischievously. And there was the person I've known for a few weeks. We've shared moments together I could only imagine spending with my mate. But that had only been because of the heat? Or had it been. I slowly blinked once more, my eyelids only becoming heavier. Inside my head my wolf was howling, the sound making the thudding in my head only worse. There were two men. Two equally important. But who was the one I was destined to be with?

Some three hundred miles north of the English capital, the city of London, lies a small tract of land, now simply a few acres of good but otherwise unexceptional farmland. Nothing about the setting gives even a hint of the history of the location. The rural village is called Rosley and, in the 1960s, the land, enclosed by the wall was subject to a minor piece of legislation, in the Houses of Parliament. Enacted by the then Home Secretary, the provision of the statutory instrument was that the land, henceforth, be declared free of the statutory right to hold a fair. This right had been set down in a royal charter dating back to the seventeenth century. The reason given, then, some four centuries ago, for creating the charter was that the "fayre" had been held since ancient time. In other words, no one had a clue when it started. That there was a fair has been well documented by poets and balladeers. The gathering was a spectacle like no other and it drew all manner of humankind from near and far. Rosley, in early spring, was the place to be: the excitement, the vast number of horses and cattle being corralled and the deals being done brought not only reputable merchants and traders but countless other hawkers, charlatans and snake-oil salesmen. Saints and sinners, rogues and vagabonds could all be found, every year, at Rosley "fair-hill" on the Whit-Monday. If the instigators of the Charter did not know the antecedents of this now forgotten Horse Festival, is it possible, that we, living with the scientific advances of the 21st century, can fill in some of the gaps in their knowledge? History and technology are now wedded to increase our understanding of the past so just maybe we can build the "back" story of this forgotten chapter in the life of the nation.

Friendship has no borders. A strong friendship could be bonded, even if the two friends live in two different worlds, even between a soldier and a kid... P/s: this was a short story I made for my school magazine, and I did in a rush. There could be noticeable mistakes throughout the story.

Sample chapters from 'Summer In The City State' by Eamonn Sheehy © 2016 From an idyllic archipelago on the Moroccan Mediterranean, 'Summer In The City State' takes a stirring trip through the little known Spanish enclave of Ceuta, on through Fortress Europe, and into the Rif cities of Northern Morocco. Lyrical, reflective and bound in an immersive journalism style - the journey takes place against the backdrop of a contemporary Europe in crisis; recounted through vividly told vignettes and a series of affecting photography. While subverting traditional forms of travel narrative, a pulsating rhythm and omnipresent tension bleeds through this quirky, lucid and sometimes dark nonfiction travel novella.

It was a normal woman: nothing special, nothing more than others, except for a mental disorder. 'The voices', is what she called them. Just 'the voices'. She was born more than 100 years ago, and she witnessed two world wars. This story is about the life of a normal, everyday jewish woman, and her life in time of war. 'Those who can not remember the past, are condemned to repeat it.' R.I.P. and let us remember all the victims of WWI and WWII. -Consistent out of all historically correct events; it was intentionally for an assignment for school, which graded me a 87/100 and a 90/100.
