"nobody ever told her, it's the wrong way" when Mercedes' parents died in a 'car crash'. The government forced her to book a plane ticket to Manchester and go live with her cousin, Donte. But turns out once she got there, she didn't go to Donte's house. She just decided to go live on the streets instead. As she was already signed up for a school, she had to go otherwise the police would find out and force her to go live with Donte. Although, that wasn't the greatest idea, as Donte found her vaping in the disabled toilets with Schuey Weever. So, does she leg it? Yes.
