Jane, a young, free spirited young girl is about to become 12, the age of which all children receive their Mark. A Mark is a magical tattoo on your wrist that shows your rank. For example, a dove means you are part of the royal family. A bear is a warrior. A pencil means you are a scribe. But Jane recieves a strange Mark. The mark of Thea. The goddess of the moon.
