Alaine is thrust into the magic of Terra, the two-century-old dwelling of the Casting(gifted women) in Savannah. After another world war, Alaine is sent to live with her Aunts having inherited the Cast. Alaine encounters the strange customs of Her kin as well as their secrets. Love is not permitted to a Casting woman because she is bound by the Persephone curse. Her once the normal world had been wrecked by holocaust and magic. Now she must find a way to thrive in this new era and somehow break fate.
