"Every book is written by someone. They write it with their love, their hate, their life, their passion, their dreams. Never take another person's work too light."

What would you do if you were the last human being on an earth filled with flesh eating monsters and happened to stumble upon a strange book that seems to draw you in?
Would you read it?
Or would you leave it?
A youth who calls themself Don, has found themselve in this situation.
After finding a strange book and meeting someone calling himself Don's 'imaginary friend', our protagonist's life of constant survival has been turned upside down.

[Complete. Wattys 2023 Winner] The Redding takes you if it knows your name. That's the rule that's kept Meg alive --- or awake, rather --- since the night the world went to hell. Nobody knows where the red stuff came from, but it acts like water, it's in the water, and it falls as rain every night. The people it captures drop like puppets with their strings cut. They're asleep, not dead, and they can be reawoken. But then they just try to kill you. Meg and the other survivors she's befriended think they've found a stable equilibrium, six weeks after the catastrophe began. In an empty town, there's not much to do except innovate new survival methods. Meg's crush is the one to discover that Morse Code, like writing, is a safe means of communication. That's all fine and good until the nightly rain begins. Raindrops, as it turns out, can make dots and dashes, too. The Redding can talk. And it's telling her to run. ❖❖❖ Complete. Wattys 2023 Winner. ||WATTYS 2021 SHORTLIST|| ||FREE STORY WITH PAID BONUS CONTENT|| Allison, the front woman of rising rock band Hell Flower, has been experiencing bizarre blackouts and other strange symptoms. In a fateful night after performing a show, she loses control and commits a crime she can't take back. On the run for her life and from the law, the race begins for Allison to find a cure for her curse before it takes her humanity, or worse, her life. The only ones who might know what is going on and be able to help are her parents. Too bad both of them are dead . . . or so she thought. *** This was my project for #NaNoWriMo2020 . The entire novel was written within a month, and I achieved my goal on November 30th. This is a spin-off to Make Them Scream. It can be read as a stand alone story; however, reading this before Make Them Scream will be a spoiler.
