Her eyes moved around the room instead - avoiding the intensity of his stare.

That only amused him.

A slow smirk curved his lips.

He leaned back slightly in his chair, watching her like one studies something fragile.

"Where, Y/N?" he asked, voice smooth... almost teasing.

She pointed hesitantly toward the far wall.

"The pictures... on the wall."

Her innocent eyes wandered over the framed photographs - black and white shots, city skylines, abstract art... and a few older ones no one dared to ask about.

She stepped closer to the wall.

Careful.
Curious.
Unaware of the storm she stood inside.

Taehyung watched her every movement.

Most people entered his office trembling.

She entered distracted by art.

That alone made her different.

"You're not afraid of me," he stated calmly.

She paused.

Then turned slightly.

"I respect you, sir."

Not fear.

Respect.
