"Stay away from me," I warned hopelessly, earning a chuckle from him. In a matter of seconds I was pinned against the wall and his hands were wrapped possessively around my waist. "My sweet little Rosalie. We both know I can never stay away. Why do you even bother resisting?" He whispered into my ears whilst his fingers snuck under my shirt, his touch leaving a trail of goosebumps across my waist. I sucked in a breath and bit my lip, paralyzed from the dilemma of wanting more and needing to save myself. "I want you Rosalie. I've never wanted anything more," he sighed and then he bit my earlobe. I resisted the urge to moan as he fisted my hair tilting my head back leaving my neck exposed to him. He stared at me with lustful eyes. "I'm going to break your life apart piece by piece like a jigsaw puzzle and then I'll get rid of all those other pieces until all you're left with is me," he mumbled greedily as he devoured my neck with kisses. I arched my back desperate for his touch even though I knew it wouldn't last. In a state of euphoria I asked him the question I already knew the answer to. "And then what?" I whispered hoarsely. He stood through it all without any emotion on his face, there was barely a glimmer of anger in his eyes. If anything I might have seen some surprise. I patted him on the arm and winked. "You. Are. Funny! I don't need you idiots to look out for me. But thanks for the thought." With that I quickly made my way to class.

How annoying is it that something which is supposed to be easy for you, is actually very difficult? Catching the mastermind behind the chain of robberies in Megaville should be easy, or Vivienne had thought so. Having never failed a mission, she was pretty sure that she would be able to get to the bottom of this case too. Of course, having so much of experience, she knew better than to underestimate her opponent, especially one who has escaped captivity so many times. But she didn't know that these cases were not just plain robberies. She didn't know that the mastermind behind the crimes was much more than just a thief. And the mastermind didn't know that Vivienne was one hell of a stubborn person who wouldn't stop at any case until she caught who was behind the robberies. She liked to win, and she was going to make sure she won this game too.

I stood there, watching, as she ran her fingers through the knots of my soul.
