I never was any good at skipping stones. Three good skips is all could get out of them now, even after almost a decade of trying. I suppose there are some things that I'll never get any better at. This fact doesn't stop my from trying, though. I always chose the best stones; smooth, flat, and would probably make it across the entire river if in the right hands. It was a pity to think they had ended up in my hands, and that little detail means they'll never find their full potential.
