Despite her wonderful role and subject, Shelly was far less as popular as the other main characters. Many of the visitors of Gardenview ignored her, her creators began to push her aside, and even her own friends began to grow distant away from her. It seemed like almost everyone around her was blatantly ignoring her. Shelly was deeply hurt by this. She was upset. Although with that, Shelly tried to be as optimistic as possible even whilst having her sorrow. Then, a nightmarish being from within the roots of her mind had appeared. The nightmare told her hurtful but truthful words, and to do things that she wouldn't ever want to. Shelly tried to resist. But the more she was treated in an undesirable way, the more she understood what the nightmare had said. The combination of the blatant ignorance of her existence and the dark force within her mind had started to enrage and break her, slowly turning her for the absolute worst . . . Now, the once friendly Toon is slowly nearing to the breaking point of something monstrous, potentially bringing danger and wrath to all of Gardenview.. Eventually they manage to escape and Desiree tries to flee leaving Kai and the rest of the clan drama behind,Seeing a chance to finally go after what she wanted most to be reunited with her sister. Kai has other plans for Desiree and the rest of the clan, making sure that Desiree has no choice but to head to mystic Falls to help others stop him from killing the whole coven. After many sad events most of the clan dies and both Kai and herself wake in transition. Eventually things lead her to the beautiful french quarter where she is about to have even more adventure enter her life. She quickly finds herself tangled up in the Mikaelson family and everything that comes with it which brings her lots of unexpected twists but the one she doesn't expect the most is the fact that she ends up finding love and loyalty like no other.
