After the "Civil War" between Iron Man and Captain America, Captain America finds a girl in the broken glass from the ruble of the Hydra compound. A Hydra soldier, at least that is what they presumed. They later find that she is the Manipulator, a highly-intelligent trained Assassin and spy for Hydra, who can profile and manipulate people to her objective. After waking up, asleep for over 70 years, she is forced to conform to this new world as she tries to escape the clutches of the Avengers and go back to the world she knew.
