"Uncle" is an African man with a prominent title that lacks inherent self-respect. "Uncles" are African men that prey on little girls instead of protecting them; they are African men that carry out acts of domestic violence; they are African men that disrespect women without a care. "Uncle", is an African man that is driven by toxic masculinity; a man that thinks he is entitled to every woman's body. Unfortunately, our African Aunties remain dormant and refuse to speak up about these precarious situations and in turn, they fail to put an end to these toxic behaviors. Instead, the blame is thrusted upon the victims and our African Aunties vehemently defend these African "Uncles".

A short story inspired by the #MeToo movement. This story does not have the purpose of defending those who have wrongfully preyed upon the young, vulnerable and powerless, but rather attempts to provide an insight into the mental strategies perpetrators use to justify and rationalise their own inherently wrong behaviour.

The secrets i kept started killing me. They still do. I can't fight my depression any longer, my urges are too hard to fight. I can't eat, I can't sleep. I don't want to fight anymore. Maybe it was meant to be this way. Maybe I was only born to kill myself.

Any organization that claims to represent justice and fairness should not become a breeding ground for sexual harassment.

She prefers to stay away from boys, and succeeds at this, until a certain football player named Micah Anderson can't seem to stay away from her. Granted, it is Piper's fault for telling him he could sing and sparking nothing but interest in him, but in her defense, the choir program is dying. This fanfiction is based on the promotional trailer for The Morning Show Season 2, which airs on September 17, 2021. Cory Ellison and Bradley Jackson, along with many other characters, appear to have conflicting interests and motives driving them farther apart. Cory and Bradley are a new favorite duo of mine. With the tension between the characters in the trailer, and with Billy Crudup taking a lead role in a new series, I worry what this might mean for Cory and Bradley's romantic potential, so I've decided to bring them together before the new season shows otherwise. Please keep in mind that I've made certain inferences based on the season 2 trailer that may not be accurate to the series, but I hope they are true to the characters.
