These little hashtags pepper our lives. These are mine and how they represent me. At least that is how I wanted this book to be. It was to be a book of short articles using a hashtag as inspiration. However, it has grown and changed as I have. This book was birthed from my not-so-short social media posts. As I began engaging with people who don't share the same opinion as me, I dug deeper into trying to understand how I decided on my beliefs. I did some armchair research on Street Epistemology. If you haven't heard of it, YouTube it. It will get you to think! I did. I came face to face with what I believed, how I got there, and why. It also forced me to ask whether my beliefs are consistent with my morals and ethics. This book is my contribution to the marketplace of ideas. Hopefully, it stands up to scrutiny. If not, let me know. Maybe you will change my mind. Don't be afraid to join in the conversation; our fluid and diverse voices make our society unique.

Realistic fiction story that really depict the current circumstance that, unfortunately, we are facing. These stories are based on the Roe v. Wade decision being overturned. characters may not have a name to make it somewhat more relatable.

Not every choice is easy

First, I have to make a point of saying that unlike all my other poetry, this is FICTION! Second, I have to say I know this poem could be controversial, many people may not like it. If this poem offends you for its topic and my opinion, please don't leave hate messages. I do however encourage people voicing their own opinions on the matter, as well as healthy, mature, non-derogatory debates! If you don't like this poem for the writing style, rhyming, ect... then please, leave constructive criticism! This rhyming scheme and repetition, for me, is way outside the box. I'm really interested to know what people think about it.

Seventeen-year-old Karin finds herself pregnant. She has a decision to make, however, her mother Justine has already made the decision for her. Forced to deal with the issues of race relations and a career that her mother refuses to let her put on hold, Karin lives in anguish while longing for meaningful relationships. Will those relationships be fostered or destroyed? "Decision of a Lifetime" is a prelude to the upcoming YA novel My Invisible Father by Jaer Armstead-Jones. "Decision of a Lifetime" is the first installment of two short stories that tell the story before the story.
