STAR WARS: THE SHADOW'S EXILE
EPISODE I: THE GHOST OF TATOOINE
PLOT SUMMARY
It is a time of fragile peace. The Galactic Empire, once an iron fist that choked the galaxy, has been shattered. The Death Stars are dust. The Emperor is dead. Darth Vader, the terrifying enforcer of the will of the Sith, has fallen, redeemed in his final moments by the love for his son. The Rebel Alliance has transitioned into the New Republic, struggling to bring order to a chaotic universe.
But in the shadows, where the light of the new democracy does not reach, old ghosts stir.
Darth Maul, the Zabrak demon who was cut in half and cast into the abyss on Naboo, survived through hatred and the dark arts of Mother Talzin. He clawed his way back from madness, building a criminal empire, seeking revenge against the Jedi who maimed him. But his quest ended on Tatooine, in the blistering heat of the Jundland Wastes. There, an older, wiser Obi-Wan Kenobi struck him down one final time. Maul died, or so he thought.
Yet, the Force is mysterious. Through the lingering spiritual tether to Mother Talzin and the sheer, unadulterated force of his own rage, Maul's consciousness did not dissipate into the Cosmic Force. Instead, it coalesced, pulling his broken physical form back together through a grotesque ritual of dark side alchemy and mechanical reconstruction. He wakes not as a Sith Lord, but as a relic. A monster without a master. A weapon without a war.
The galaxy has moved on. The Hutt Cartels are fractured. The Black Sun is leaderless. The Empire is gone. And Obi-Wan Kenobi is dead, his spirit merged with the Force. Maul finds himself alone on Tatooine, stripped of his purpose, his double-bladed lightsaber destroyed, and his mind fractured by decades of torture and isolation.
This is the story of his departure. Not as a conqueror, but as a fugitive from his own past. He must secure passage off the desert world, acquire a new weapon-a single blade to match his singular existence-and find a place
