Terror consumes me as I wake up to a man on top of me. His hands roam my body as he sloppily kisses my neck. My skin crawls at the unwelcome contact as I shiver in disgust.

"Get off," I yell, pushing at his chest. It's no use, he's huge and has me pinned beneath him on the couch. I squirm beneath him, but he's laying between my thighs, holding me in place.

He pulls back and Dimitri's blue eyes lock on mine in frustration. He tries to kiss me but I turn my head, shutting my eyes tight. He growls but doesn't give up, peppering kisses down my jaw and neck. I try and push him away, again earning a frustrated growl.

"Go back to sleep," he whispers between kisses. "Everything was going so well."

"Stop it, get off," I snap back, thankful for how commanding my voice sounds.

"No," he growls, nipping my ear lobe. "Fuck, you smell so good," he whispers huskily as he nuzzles my neck.

"I said stop!" I yell. "Nickoli-"

Dimitri snarls at my use of his wolf's name. "Fuck Nickoli, you smell incredible. You were dreaming about Chris, weren't you?" He asks, not hiding the bitterness in his voice. "Don't lie to me, I can smell you."

I shudder at his words. How worked up he is leaves me fearing for my safety as I try to come up with the safest route to take.

"Yes," I finally whisper in defeat. There was no other answer, he already knew the truth.

"I don't care Jess, pretend I'm him," he whispers, kissing my neck again. "I need you." He trails down my chest before stopping between my breasts. "Show me how you like it."

"Dimitri, I said no!" I snarl, pushing him back again. He growls back but gets up, flinging the coffee table away.

My heart hammers but hope grows in me as I take in his reaction; maybe his wolf can hold him back some. My eyes are locked on Dimitri as he paces around. His energy rolls uncontrollably as he fights an inner battle.

"Get in the bed," he finally snaps.

"Excuse me?!" I gasp in shock, eyes locked on him.

Like I'm gonna willingly bed the man.

"I'm not asking Jess. I may be limited in what I can take right now, but I will have you close for the next dream. Now get in the fucking bed before I drag you there. If I have to drag you, my wolf can go fuck himself. I will take what's mine," he snarls, shaking in rage.

Fear grips me as I consider his words. As much as I don't want to, I slowly get up and head to the bed. I have no doubt he will follow through on his threat.

I slip under the covers, scooting to the far side of the bed. My heart tries to leap through my throat as I feel him slip in behind me. After a moment I slowly relax. Without warning he drops a hand around my waist and pulls my back to his chest. I claw at the blankets, trying to hold my position.

"Keeps squirming like that against me and things are going to get frisky," he warns. I freeze instantly at his threat. He scents me once more before drifting off to sleep, keeping me pinned to him with his iron grip. I lay there numb long after he manages to fall asleep, somewhere in the wee hours of the morning I drift off.

-----

Morning light slowly wakes me. I breathe a sigh of relief to find the bed empty. The night's events filter back through my mind, making me shudder. It's a small comfort that nothing else happened after bed.

I sit there, thinking back to my time spent with Chris. That simple moment did a world of good to my spirit. Knowing that he won't rush headlong into Dimitri's trap gives me peace. That he doesn't blame me and still loves me fills my heart and gives me added strength to carry on.
