The elevator's doors open and we go out. My hand is around Tessa's waist who is carrying Liv. We greet dad and Karen and then I feel a hand on my shoulder. I turn around and see a person I haven't seen in years.
"Hardin dear, I haven't seen you in so long." She smiles at me and hugs me tightly. I can see Tessa looking at the both of us, trying to figure out what is happening.
"Hey granny, how have you been?" I smile at the old lady in front of me. She looks a bit different than the last time I saw her. Her hair is no longer the light blond it was before, it is now grey and her face has more wrinkles, but she still has the amazing green eyes she always had.
"I am great, the last time I saw you was when you were 18 heading off to college." She looks at me and hugs me again. If there wasn't a part of me that missed her too, I would've pushed her away the first time. She lets go of me and she looks at Tessa and Liv. "And who are those two beautiful girls?" She says and smiles at Tess and Liv.
I put my hand around Tessa's waist again and say, "this is Tessa, my girlfriend." I know what is going to happen next so I take Liv from Tessa's hands. And I was right, the minute I took Liv my granny hugged Tessa.
"Nice to meet you, dear. My name is Rose, you can call me granny Rose or just granny" she says and lets go of Tessa. "You are so beautiful," she says and hugs her again. Granny and her hugs.
"Thank you," Tessa says with flushed cheeks.
Granny looks at Liv. "And this little girl?" she pokes Liv's cheeks, making her giggle.
I really don't know what to say... should I call her our daughter, Tessa's daughter? I don't fucking know. Fortunately, Tessa speaks up first. "Our daughter, Liv." I can see granny processing and I start to freak out, the last thing I want now is drama.
A second later granny's frown becomes a smile and Tessa and I release a deep breath. "She's so sweet, can I hold her?" Tessa nods and granny's smile grows even more when she takes Liv in her arms. "Hello, beautiful girl." She looks back at us. "She looks a lot like you two, your blond hair and half blue eyes." She points at Tess and then at me. "And a little from your green eyes Hardin."
And again, what am I supposed to say? This time I speak up ."I see that too." I look at Tess and see if it's okay to say the truth. She nods and I speak. "She's adopted." Granny looks at me and the four of us sit around the table, with Liv on her lap.

We told her the entire story and when we are done I can see a few tears in her eyes. "You two are amazing people, you saved this little girl," she says and hugs Liv. We smile at her and she hugs the both of us for the one hundredth time today. We talk a little more and I see the last person I wanted to see approaching us. Freaking Jayden Hayer, my fucking cousin.
"Hey cousin, long time no see." He smirks at me and I can see him checking Tess out. It takes everything from me not to punch his ugly face.
I hold Tessa Tessa tighter and I feel her hand rubbing my thigh. "Best time of my life, what do you want?"
"Not here for you." He moves his eyes to Tessa. "And you are beautiful?" He asks her and I am about to kill him.
"I'm Tessa, this handsome's girlfriend." She kisses my cheek and I smile at her.
I know she just wants him to go away as much as I do. Her hand is rubbing my thigh higher and higher for him to see. He sits and tries to talk to us, but the only answers he gets are- yes, no and I don't care.
A few minutes later Liv is starting to cry and granny hands her to us. Tessa holds her and she still won't stop crying. "I think she's hungry. Babe, can you hold her? I'll go get some baby formula" she asks me and I nod. She kisses Liv's forehead and hands her to me.
"Your girl is smoking hot," Jayden says and I roll my eyes.
"Shut up." I hold myself from yelling at him or kicking his ass off because of the baby girl in my arms.
"Mind if we share?" He asks and I can feel my blood boiling.
"Excuse me?" I ask trying to hold myself.
"Share the girl you know, she's sexy as hell and I am sure she's the best." He smirks and I cut him off before he can continue.
"Jayden you really should shut up. It's my girlfriend and the mother of my daughter you're talking about, stay away from her, or I swear I'll kill you, understand?" I yell at him as quietly as I can.
I feel a hand on my shoulder and turn around to see Tess. "To add to Hardin's speech you're not my type, sorry buddy," she says smiling at me. "Plus, Hardin is the best in bed so the offer isn't tempting at all, try someone else." She sits and feeds Liv and I see Jayden walks away.
"Where did the sass come from?" I smirk at her.
"He is annoying, I had to" she shrugs.
I put my hand on her thigh, just below her underwear. "I always knew I was good in bed but you make it easy, you're sexy as hell" I whisper in her ear. "And this little speech was the hottest thing I've ever seen."
She looks at me and smirks ."Then it's a good thing that Liv is sleeping with Karen today."
Fucking finally. I love Liv as I've never loved anyone before, except Tessa, but I need some alone time with Tess. I haven't been fucked in a week.
