Layla

I was boiling with rage.

How dare he?

And to think that I was beginning to have some sort of stupid feelings for him.

Screw him!

I wiped away the tears from my eyes before they could roll down my cheeks.
That was when I looked down at myself and noticed I was in strange clothes. My mind flashed back to when my clothes ripped the moment i shifted and I realized that Brad was the only one with me.

No, he did not.

Ughhhh!

He fucking saw me naked.

I pulled at my hair utterly furious. I wanted to turn back and go confront him for taking advantage of the situation. But then I also figured that if he didn't put some clothes on me, I would have been going home naked.

Ughhhh! Dammit.

I kept stomping though the hall till I got to the stairs, where I met Ashley and Gia. Unlike before, I was not happy to see them.

"Layla, oh thankGod you're okay" Ashley said in relief but I wasn't moved by her sympathy. I only had one question in mind.

"Did you know it was him?" I fired at them.

"What are you talking about Layla" Gia said and they both looked confused.

"Did you know it was Brad who turned me?" i asked again and their once confused looks turned into a knowing and guilty look. The realization of the truth stung me in a different way. They didn't need to say another word, their faces said it all.

"Layla..."

"When did you know about it?" I asked rather calmly.

"Since the first day" Ashley answered and that was all I needed to hear. "But Layla..." I raised my hand up stopping her. I didn't want to hear anything else.

"I thought you were my friends" I said, my chest contracting, "you said we were family now and you still kept this from me? Even when you knew how I felt about it"

"We are so sorry"

"Save it" I harshly cut her off. Then I walked past them down the stairs, ignoring their calls.

I felt like everyone had literally lied to me. Everyone was keeping secrets from me. From my so called friends, to my so called mate, and even my parents.
At least, Cole was the only one who told me the truth even though he lied at first.

What was I supposed to do now? How was I supposed to believe anyone again.

I sucked in a deep breath when I finally got home after walking a few miles.
I was ready to face my parents, I was extremely mad at them but I had no choice. It was my home.

The moment I walked in, my dad stood up from his seat and rushed up to me, worry plastered all over his face.

"Layla, you had me all worried" he touched my face frantically. "Where were you?" I knew very well that on a normal day, he wouldn't have been this calm after I missed my curfew.

"I slept over" I simply answered.

"Why didnt you inform me first, your mom and I were worried sick"

"Mom?" I scoffed. "Mom doesn't care about me and neither do you" I spat.

"Layla how can you say that, we care about so much" he defended.

"Are you going to pretend like you don't know what I'm saying or are you just going to come right out and tell me why you and mom got divorced" he went silent. Then he moved away from me back to the dinning table.

"Honey, this is not a subject I would like to discuss this morning" my lips parted in disbelief.

"Dad, I'm your daughter, don't you think I deserve an explanation?" I followed behind him. "What could have possibly happened that would make you see divorce as the only option? Did you even try to work things out?"

"Layla, you wouldn't understand. This is between your mom and I" he stated.

"And me? What about how I feel" my voice rose an octave. "Did you pause to think about me?" My voice broke at the end.
"I was so happy, so happy that we were going to be together as a family again"

"Honey, listen to me.."

"No! No matter what happened, you could have worked things out. You could have fought for your love" I said, leaving my dad speechless and with that, I stormed into my room and locked the door.

I slid down the door until my butt touched the floor, silent tears rolling down my cheeks. I cupped my mouth in order not to make any further sounds.

My heart broke with each tear I shed, each thought that has been ruined, with each imagination that has been broken and won't ever be real.

I tried to imagine the things that might have happened to make them choose this but nothing.

So after much crying considering how my life had completely turned upside down, I got up. I took a bath, changed into some new clothes, brushed my hair and tied it into a ponytail. I grabbed my phone and was about to head out when I heard sounds from the living room so I listened.

It was my mom and she wasn't alone. I had planned to just stay locked in until she left but I couldn't do that anymore, not when she brings another man into our home.

I opened my door and went straight to them in the living room. Truly, he was there, even sitting on our couch.

How dare he?

"Layla sweetie" she tried to touch me but I moved away from her reach.
"How are you?"

"If you have come to tell me that this is the man you want to marry, then you can leave. I don't need to hear it twice" I said rather harshly. I saw the hurt on her face but I ignored it. Right now, I was the only one hurt.

"Layla, your mom is just tr... " I snapped my head to the unwanted guest in our house.

"This is a family matter, so kindly stay the fuck out of it" I snapped at him and the shock on his face was unmissable.

"Layla" my dad called me out but I didn't even turn to look at him. I didn't regret what I said, neither did I regret my tone.

"Dad, if you're okay with this, I'm not" I announced. "I will never accept this man" I glared lasers at him.

"And as for you mom" I looked at her, "you have broken my heart and I will never forgive you for it" I said before walking past her anf out of the door.

Choosing not to cry again, i went into the woods and stayed there. knowing fully well that I wasn't going to return to that house until my mom left, and I couldn't go to the pack house because I was practically mad at everyone, I had no choice than to call the only person I could think of.

Cole.
