~Aretha~
The sun hitting my face, the wind blowing, and the smell of the ocean was all it took to wake me up. I opened my eyes and looked around. I was on the opposite side of the bed. The bedsheet smelled fresh.
I slowly sat up but regretted it right after. I was in too much pain. I slowly realized that Dia wasn't in the room with me. That's when a fresh scent started hitting my nose. "He must be downstairs..." I was debating on how to get out of bed.
I slowly sat up and damn, did my ass hurt. Finally sitting up with all my effort, I looked at my attire. Again, I was dressed in one of his shirts and wearing his boxers, no bra. "If you like seeing me in your clothes... why bring some of mine..."
I let out a breath and slowly got up. Only for me to fall again, making a lot of noise. I groaned a little. I suddenly heard footsteps; they sounded like rushed footsteps. The door burst open, and I saw Dia, panting a little. Once he saw me, he had a worried expression on.
"Babygirl, are you alright? What happened? Why are you on the floor?" He walked towards me and lifting me up. "No, I'm not alright. I was on the floor because of you." He looked confused and then smirked. "Did we go to hard yesterday?"
I lightly slapped his cheeks, causing him to chuckle. He then kissed me on mine. Walking downstairs, the scent of what he was making was getting stronger. He slowly sat me down on the chair and continued cooking.
"What are you making?" "Shakshuka or Eggs in Purgatory" I nodded. I had never heard of that before, but it sounds delicious. While waiting for him, I slowly realized what he was wearing. Again, he only wore his sweatpants that were the same color as the t-shirt I had on. But the apron he had on, fit him perfectly.
It looked a little tight for him, but that just made it better. I could see his full sleeve tattoo and a little bit of his neck tattoo. I then moved to his back as his muscles were showing. I frowned when I saw scratch marks on them.
I then blushed when I figured how they came to be. "You know... I can feel you staring..." I stopped staring and looked away and he chuckled. A few minutes later and he was done. He brought it to the island, and it looked good.
He even made baguettes. I prayed and took a bite and damn was it good. This n- this man, knew how to cook. It was so good that I started dancing. "I guess, it suits your taste?" he took a bite as well as I nodded.
We spend the rest of the morning inside and later on went to the beach. The ocean water felt so good. I found a bathing suit in his closet. It wasn't mine but he said that he bought me one while looking at the ones I already had.
While I was swimming, he was laying there, under a tree, on a mat. I got out of the water and walked towards him. "Hey..." He removed his glasses and stared at me. "Hello, Babygirl. Are you enjoying yourself?"
"I am. I really am. Are you sure that you're free? Don't you maybe have things to do?" he chuckled before making me sit down and him sitting up. "Babygirl, even though I'm busy, I'm never too busy for you." He kissed me on the lips as I kissed him back.
"I would love to have a repeat of what happened last night, don't you?" I shook my head. "Let me rest, you animal." He chuckled. Both of us spend time with each other until we both went to sleep.
I was sleeping very peacefully when I heard Dia waking me up. "Babygirl... wake up." I slowly got up. "Dia... what's-" "Shh~" What was going on? I looked at the time, it was 3 AM. "Dia..." "Hush Babygirl." he got out of bed and slowly walked towards the window.
All I heard was the sound of the pool. Like something had fallen in. "Dia... did something land in the water?" He retraced his steps and walked towards me. "Not something, someone." I frowned. "What do you-"
He gently placed his finger on my lips. I could see all the seriousness in his eyes. What was happening. I suddenly heard footsteps in the ceiling. Was someone in there. Dia motioned me to stay quiet, but I was slowly starting to get freaked out.
I saw him walk into his closet and came back with a briefcase. He opened it via fingerprint and inside were, what looked to be vests? "Here, put this on, slowly. Try not to make any noise." I just nodded. It was a vest, but the material was different.
"Dia... what is this?" I whispered. "It's a bulletproof vest." he explained. Why was he giving me one of this. These were made to... Again, he went into the briefcase and took a dagger. He placed it on the inside of his vest.
He walked towards my phone, turned it off and placed it on the inside of my vest. He then took out a gun, making me widen my eyes. I went back a little. He noticed this and rubbed my thigh. "I'm not going to use this on you Babygirl."
He then put something on the gun. I saw it in a movie once, it looked like a silencer. He then wore a watch and then took out another phone along with the one he uses. I just sat there looking at him. The footsteps in the roof stopped when I heard another noise. Almost like smoke being released into something.
"Let's go..." he grabbed my hand and we both exited the room. We slowly made our way to the living room, and he stood in front of the door. "Dia... what's going on. Please tell me..." He let out a sigh and started explaining.
"Babygirl, I never wanted you to experience something like this but... we're being attacked."
