I woke the next day tired, and groggy. I had a massive headache that I couldn't get rid of.

I didn't even stay out too late, or maybe I did.

I honestly couldn't remember but it was late when I got to sleep anyway.

It was almost eleven, I really should be at the library by now studying.

I quickly got dressed and wasn't bothered to get into the shower because of how late it was.

I managed to not see Hardin for the rest of the day. I did decide to travel to the library so I would avoid Hardin. Types of boys like that don't go to the library to study at all.

While in the library, working on last-minute studying, and thinking about what to wear tomorrow for the first day of class.

Hardin's obnoxious voice popped into my head.

"You know we're going to a party, not a church."

He would most certainly say that again if he saw what I would be wearing tomorrow. I decided that I would no longer be going to parties with Steph, or anywhere that Hardin might be.

When I returned to the dorms Steph wasn't there, and I was glad.

I quickly got dressed into my nightwear, which was just some baggy bottoms with a baggy top, anything so I could feel comfortable.

It was now Monday, the first day of class.

I was pretty nervous, and I was sure that I looked like it, too.

I knew I was prepared, I was set and ready to go.

I woke up at about five o'clock so I could get to the shower without feeling mortified about the shared lavatories or needing to rush at a time like this. After the shower, I pulled out my best casual clothes which were a plain white button-up shirt with a knee-length khaki skirt.

When I got back to the room, Steph was asleep, I completed my hair with just a simple ponytail.

I then started to pack my college bag, which was a mini-sized bag but it had also enough space to put my books and notes in.

That was when Steph's alarm went off but she tapped on the snooze button.

Should I wake her up?

Her classes might start later than mine, or maybe she wasn't planning on going at all.

The thought of missing a day of class, especially my first day, stresses me out but she was a sophomore so maybe she had it all under control.

Finally, it was time for me to leave, I took the map out from the selection pack I had received when I first arrived here and placed it in my pocket so I would have it hand in hand when walking around the campus.

When I walked into my freshman History class, the room was empty, except for one person and I chose to sit next to him.

Tessa: Where is everyone?

Landon: Probably running across campus to barely make it here on time.

Tessa: I'm Tessa Young.

Landon: Landon Gibson.

We spent the rest of the time before class talking, we were both English majors and he had a girlfriend named Dakota.

He didn't mock me when I told him that Noah was a grade below me.

I'm really glad that I decided to sit next to him.

At that point, the class started to fill up with students.
