Chapter 11

DogDay POV:

1 Week Later...

Me and all the other Smiling Critters were eating breakfast at the bar. Well I guess you could say that this bar also doubles as a restaurant. Suddenly, someone started knocking on the door to the bar. The door cracked open for Dr. Amieriz to slide in, then she shut the door.

"Good morning Smiling Critters! Are you ready for the surprise I promised y'all a week ago?" She said with excitement, to which me and everyone else said different variations of yes. "Well then, I'd like to introduce the newest member of the Smiling Critters!"

We all then started talking to each other, filled with excitement. To be honest, I thought that CatNap would be the last of us Smiling Critters, but I guess I was wrong.

We all then quieted down, then looked at Dr. Amieriz. "Alright, who is it?" Bubba asked her. Dr. Amieriz opened the door to the bar and the new Smiling Critter was revealed.

They were short, around 5' 5. Their fur colors were orange and purple, they had a big, extroverted smile. They looked so cute in a way that was indescribable. Their ears were sticking up and their tail was long, fluffy. I wanted to touch it, I wanted to know how fluffy and soft it was to the touch. Their species was either a fox or a wolf, maybe a mix between the two? The pendant on their neck was a red eagle. Their clothing was a black hoodie, which seemed a little too big for him, some arm gloves that were fingerless and were striped with black and purple, some gray sweatpants, and had maroon hiking boots. Strange, out of all of us he's the only one wearing shoes of any kind.

"Meet Smiley Sergio!" Dr. Amieriz said. Sergio then ran to all of us and introduced himself. "Hi! I'm Smiley Sergio! I hope that we all can get along and be good friends!" He said adorably.

"Alright critters, I'll leave and let you all get to know Sergio. Until we meet again!" Dr. Amieriz said, then left. "Alright, I think that the best thing to do is each of us ask him one question so that we don't overload him with them. Agreed?" Bubba asked us all, which we did agree.

"Alright, I'll go first. Sergio, what do you like to do?" Bubba asked Sergio. "I like to do a lot of things! But if I had to pick..." Sergio went into deep concentration, thinking long and hard. It looks like he got lost in thought. Then suddenly, he perked his head up and said, "Socializing!"

"What's your favorite holiday?" Bobby asked Sergio. "Umm, I don't really have a TOP favorite holiday. I'd say that the top is tied with both Thanksgiving and Christmas."

"What do you like to do when you're not working?" Kickin' asked Sergio. "Well, now that I'm with you critters, I like to be with my friends!"

"What's your favorite exercise?" Hoppy asked Sergio. "Going for a walk every now and then seems pretty good."

"What do you like to eat?" Picky asked Sergio. "Burgers, nothing will change my mind."

Then, it was my turn. "What would you do in the evening with us critters?" I asked Sergio. "I think that would add on with the green bunny's question. I think that's when I'll go on my walk."

"What will you be teaching the orphans?" CatNap asked Sergio. "I was told by Dr. Amieriz that I'm assigned with Secondary Assistance and Sleep."

"What's your type, as in, who'd you date?" Crafty asked Sergio. "CRAFTY." I angrily whispered to her. "No, no, it's okay dog. To answer the unicorn's question, I don't really know. I think I'll know eventually though." Sergio said to answer Crafty's question

"Okay, now it'd be best to introduce ourselves." Bubba said, then we all said our names. "Well, as you know, I'm Smiley Sergio! But you can just call me Sergio, Sergi, Serg, any of those, I don't really care." Sergio said.
