Leo had planned for a peaceful morning. Wake up late, sip iced coffee, read something vaguely poetic while letting the breeze do whatever it wanted to his hair. A honeymoon, after all, was meant to be glamorous and effortless.

The morning sun gently painted the sky with hues of coral and light spilling slow over the water, breeze soft with salt and sun-warmed leaves, everything quiet like the island was still dreaming, the air carried the delightful scent of the salty sea. Leo stirred first, grumbling and tousling hair before stretching like a lazy cat collapsing back onto Kai's chest with a groan.

"Good Morning", Kai greet him while brushing his hair softly.

Leo reached out and gave Kai a tight hug, muttering something under his breath while hiding his face on Kai's chest. Meanwhile, Kai was already up and scrolling through his phone, smiling at Leo. They spent a while in bed, enjoying a lazy morning together. The soothing sound of the waves lulled Leo to sleep like a baby.

Eventually the sun won, they moved slowly. Having a quick breakfast toast, pineapple while sharing soft laughter over strong coffee. Leo wore Kai's oversized shirt and his own sunglasses. Kai says he looks funny in that combination. Leo just eats in slow bites while defending himself and calling it a fashion statement.

"I think this is better for your sleepwear than yours", Kai eyeing Leo expose thighs while sipping his coffee.

Leo gives him a glare and chuckles. Later they settled outside under the morning light, reclining side by side on cushioned loungers, Leo slathered sunscreen on Kai's back, fingers tracing bare skin. Leo turn Kai face and flicked another dot of sunscreen this time right to Kai's nose.

Kai let out a slow breath, unamused but clearly holding back a grin,  "You do know I can get revenge without using my hands, right?"

"Is that a threat?", Leo tilted his head act innocent.

Kai shifted closer, one brow arched, "Depends, you want to test me?"

Leo leaned in like he was going to say something smart, but instead dragged his finger lazily down Kai's spine under the guise of spreading more lotion, "I'm just making sure I didn't miss a spot"

Kai caught his wrist, holding it just long enough to make Leo raise an eyebrow he reached for the sunscreen bottle.

"Oh no," Leo laughed, twisting away, "you wouldn't...."

Kai grinned popping the cap,"Watch me!"

Laughter spilled between them, the bottle tipped, a cold line of sunscreen landing on Leo's bare shoulder, making him yelp and jerk away. Kai lunged chasing after him with a smear of lotion on his fingertips. They tumbled across the loungers, limbs tangled, sun-warmed skin brushing, both grinning like kids.

Leo tried to dodge but Kai caught him around the waist, dragging him back down onto the cushions. There was a mock struggle, Leo half-heartedly kicking, Kai determined, both breathless from laughter. The bottle rolled to the side, forgotten as Kai pinned Leo gently, one arm caging him in, the other slick with sunscreen.

Leo's chest rose and fell fast, his hair a wild mess from the tussle, Kai looked down at him, smug and fond all at once. Kai leaned down, his breath still a little unsteady, eyes softened. His lips brushed over Leo's in a kiss that was light, lingering like morning sun on skin.

Leo blinked up at him, startled for half a second then reached up to curl his fingers in Kai's hair. His return kiss was deeper, slower, less teasing this time. When they pulled apart their foreheads stayed close, breath shared in a quiet smile, Leo give a quick peck before they drifted into the pool, warm water lapping gently around them.
