Let's start,
Meera was quietly fixing the bed, her hands smoothing the creases as her mind wandered. She then carefully took out Aditya's clothes from the wardrobe-his shirt perfectly ironed, his watch placed near the cufflinks, everything arranged with silent precision.
Just then, a knock sounded.
Meera opened the door and found Roop standing there.
"Bhabhi, what should I cook for breakfast?" Roop asked cheerfully.
Meera gave a polite smile but her tone was distant. "I don't know... whatever you feel like making. And yes, don't make anything for Mr. Singhania."
Roop blinked. "Why not, bhabhi?"
Meera replied flatly, "He's fasting today."
Roop's eyes narrowed in confusion. "Since when did he start fasting?"
Meera calmly responded, "From today."
Roop still stood there, hesitant. "Okay... I'll go then..."
Meera nodded and gently shut the door without another word.
A moment later, Aditya stepped out of the bathroom, water still dripping from his hair, a towel wrapped loosely around his waist. And her towel around his neck. His gaze instantly found Meera, who was now at the dressing table, adjusting the pleats of her saree. She hadn't noticed him yet.
Aditya leaned against the wall with a sly smile, watching her quietly.
As Meera turned and caught sight of him, her eyes widened in shock. She gasped and immediately turned around, covering her face with her palm.
"What happened?" Aditya asked with a teasing grin, slowly walking toward her.
Meera didn't turn back. "Put your clothes on. Right now," she said, flustered.
Aditya chuckled, amused. "Won't you help me today?"
"Mr. Singhania, don't try to cross your limits. Just get dressed, fast," she snapped without looking at him.
"Oho, my Ziddi baccha laid out clothes for me with so much love, I'm touched," he teased further, glancing at the neatly arranged set on the bed.
"Don't get too excited," she muttered. "You won't even get that from tomorrow."
Still turned away, her voice was sharp but her cheeks were burning red.
Aditya laughed softly, then began getting dressed. After a while, he said with a pout, "Okay then... but at least help me with my tie?"
Irritated, Meera turned around and glared at him. "It's just a tie. You'll survive if it stays off. I'm not helping. Figure it out yourself."
Then she pointed at the door, her tone firm. "Now, please leave this room."
Aditya blinked. "What?"
"I said what I said. I don't repeat myself," Meera warned. "Get out. And before you do... tell me how much cash do you have right now?"
He frowned in confusion. "What?"
"I mean, where's your wallet?" she clarified, folding her arms.
Aditya scratched his head. "Uhh... my wallet..."
Meera rolled her eyes. "Nasha utra nahi hai... Utaru?" (You're still not sober? Should I help you sober up?)
He smirked and stepped forward. "Please do..."
