Kai didn't expect to go from a single man to a farmer's wife overnight but he'll be damned if his step children go hungry!
.........
Kai wakes up in the body of a fictional character named Yu, a married ger who hated being married to a poor farmer w...
Kai sighed as he looked at the clean house, the blankets he will be using on the couch tonight are on the arm of it so he'll get to them easily, the floors have been swept and the tables have been wiped, Kai also found a bit of glass cleaner to wipe the windows with. As the ger admired his work he jumped at the sound of someone knocking on the door.
"Yu?" A woman's voice said through the door, the voice sounded older than someone in their twenties so it couldn't be a friend of the blue haired man, "I know you're there, young man!"
Kai leaned the broom in his hand against the wall, walking to the door and opening it. On the other side was an older woman, her hair almost completely gray, her gold eyes sharp and stern.
"About time!" The woman scoffed, walking into the house.
The woman had her dark hair with streaks of gray in a beautiful loose braid, she obviously took very good care of her hair, her long sleeved dress is a dark blue and almost covered her shoes.
The woman tisked as she looked around the house, her gold eyes sharp and cold, "I don't even know why my son chose such a useless get to marry," she said, her voice just as cold as her eyes, "Poor Mai is probably rolling in her grave."
Kai stood at the front door, his hand still on the doorknob with the door opened, just listening to this random woman talk shit about him in his house without her introducing herself. Kai's brown eyes widened as he finally remembered who the woman is. Her name is Minako Sakai, she is Dai's mother, Kai doesn't know too much about her since the book didn't follow Yu's life.
"Nice to see you, Minako-"
"It's Madam Sakai to you!" Minako interrupted, her turning to Kai and snapping at him.
Kai blinked at her and closed the door, "Ok, Madam Sakai," Kai said, walking back to the broom that he left leaning against the wall, "Nice to see you."
The older woman sniffed at him, Kai was slowly getting tired of people doing that.
"Where are my grandsons?" Minako asked, looking around the house, "I'm taking Kenji to the doctor to see if he'll be a ger."
Kai is holding the broom as he points to the front door, "They're playing outside," he said, returning the broom to the closet, "Probably in the woods."
Minako rolls her eyes at Kai, "Why did you let him outside today?" She practically missed, "You know that Kenji is of age to find out if he's a carrier?!"
Kai knows he has to think of something, he can't tell her that he forgot in case she and Dai didn't tell him and he couldn't say that Dai just didn't tell him in case Dai turns it around on him.
"I wasn't thinking-"
"Of course you weren't thinking! You only think about yourself!"
Minako huffed, turning to the front door and walking to it, "I'll be taking Kenji and washing him at my house since I can't even trust you with that," she said, opening the door and turning her head to look over her shoulder, "Hopefully he isn't a ger like you."
Kai watches as she slams the door behind her, leaving him in an empty house wondering what the hell just happened. . . . Short chapter this time! I just couldn't get in the writing vibe :( anyways! Here's a drawing of what Kai looked like at the end lmaoo
