(Sike, ya'll get a chapter today!)
*(This chapter is a memory based in the villa)*
The casa amour re-coupling had just taken place, and Olandria was devastated to say the least.
The energy in the villa was completely dark and confusing. It had suddenly become cooler, the clouds cloudier, and the wind more aggressive.
The once sunny, dream-like paradise had begun to have a somber and gruelling air about it.
The villa could be so cruel, so unforgiving.
Was this her punishment for kissing Nic?
One day, you could be so close to someone, share special moments, and the next thing, they could be completely infatuated with someone else.
She poured so much into Taylor— way too much.
She realised they weren't progressing as much as she wished for, but she didn't think it was that bad.
Taylor was always nice to her.
He was a gentleman, southern man—exactly how she likes them.
The type she could bring home to her mama and bond over some collard greens and roasted corn.
Sure, they didn't have physical chemistry on lock yet, but they got along so well. They had similar interests and similar backgrounds.
To Olandria, they were a perfect match.
Okay, he wasn't always as attentive as she'd like him to be— he'd always forget how she liked her pancakes and kept undercooking the edges each time, even though she told him countless times she likes her edges crispy.
She didn't mind that, though; he showed up for her in different ways.
He always made her laugh, held her hand while walking down the stairs, and shared stories of his ranch at home, which Olandria had learned to appreciate.
Taylor loved talking so much that he could spend a whole hour rehashing stories from his childhood. Olandria didn't mind that either; luckily for him, she was a listener.
And yes, he did once almost give her brie cheese, which she let everyone know she was mildly allergic to.
I mean, it was clearly a mistake; everyone makes mistakes, so Olandria let it go.
The point is—they had a good thing going on.
Seeing him so touchy and smiley with Clarke killed her.
He couldn't even hide or pretend. Everyone noticed that he was much happier with Clarke.
He was super touchy with, initiating all the kisses, which Olandria had barely gotten from him.
Was she really that replaceable?
Well, she felt extremely replaceable in this current moment.
Nothing made sense anymore to Ola.
She looked straight ahead into nothingness, the villa slowly fading away from her total peripheral vision.
