It was Tim and Lucy's first day back to work after being at home. Angela ended up going with Celina to her appointment. Celina had moved in completely with Tim and Lucy.
They went to work like normal, after work Lucy had plans with Angela. They went to Angela's house. Wesley and Jack were at his mom's.
They got something to eat and talked.
A: so uh Luce?
L: yes?
A: i think i'm pregnant but i'm too scared to test.
L: you should test, it's gonna be okay no matter what. There's no expectations with me.
A: right... i know what i said to you a few weeks ago but would you take a test with me?
L: mine is gonna be negative Ange, we already know this i'm not getting pregnant.
A: i'm sorry, i just don't want all that pressure on me or something...
L: fine, i'll do it... only for you!
A: yes, thank you!
L: okay so do you have tests?
A: yes i bought digital ones.
L: so your really sure your pregnant, those are expensive!
A: i know, i uh haven't told you something.
L: what?
A: well uh before we decided we wanted another one. The condom broke so we started thinking about what we would do if it would happen. So i tested it was negative but i never got my period.
L: oh, you kept that from me for that long?!
A: yeah, sorry i didn't wanna bother you. You had enough going on already.
L: doesn't matter, you're my sister!
A: well you know now.
L: yeah, does Wesley know you're taking a test?
A: nope... i don't want him to know till i'm sure.
L: i get that, i'm sorry. Let's go test than i guess...
A: yeah...
They both took the test and waited in the living-room together.
A: i'm nervous...
L: me too, why am i doing this? This is getting my hopes up. I shouldn't have... that ship has sailed.
A: oh Luce, i'm sorry. But you don't really think that right?
L: i do...
Tears stream down her cheeks.
L: i'll never get pregnant again...
Angela hugged her little sister tight feeling sorry that she pushed her.
After a minute the timer went off.
Angela looked at her test first.
A: oh!
L: what does it say??
Angela turned her test around so Lucy could see.
L: Ange!
Lucy quickly hugged Angela.
L: you're pregnant!
A: yeah...
Tears stream down her face.
She looked at the test again.
"Pregnant, 4+"
A: i'm more than 4 weeks pregnant!
L: i'm so happy for you! You're happy too right?!
A: yes, i'm pregnant....
L: it's gonna be okay.
They let the news settle in.
A: so have you looked at yours yet?
L: nope, it's gonna be negative for sure...
Lucy picked her test up, her hands slightly shaking. She took a deep breath and turned the test around to see the results.
After a second of looking at it, she pressed the test against her chest and broke down in tears.
A: Luce?
Angela hugged her tight.
A: it's gonna be alright, i've got you. I'm sorry for making you do this.
Lucy pulled back and looked at Angela.
L: it's positive...
A: you're pregnant?!
L: yes, 2-3 weeks...
A: we're both pregnant!
L: yeah
They had their time to freak out.
A: how are you gonna tell Tim?
L: i don't know, i never thought i would actually get pregnant.
A: i know, what if we go buy a box and a baby outfit and put the test with it and show them.
L: that's cute! You could buy one for Jack that says "big brother"
A: yeah, let's go to the mall! We still have some time before they close.
L: okay
They both got up but Lucy froze.
A: what's wrong?
L: nothing... i'm actually pregnant.
A: i know
L: okay let's go
They went to the store and both bought an outfit and box to show to Wesley and Tim. They set it up at Angela's house.
A: wesley will be home in 15 minutes.
L: okay, i'll go home. Good luck telling him and text me after!
A: okay, i will. You'll text me too right?
L: yeah of course!
A: okay, drive safe.
L: yeah, thank you for everything!
A: no problem
They hugged
L: bye
A: bye
Lucy drove home and quickly hid the box. She hugged Tim.
T: how was it?
L: it was fun, i really missed hanging out with Angela just the two off us.
T: good, you should plan it more often.
L: yeah, are the twins in bed?
T: yeah
L: okay, i'll go give them a kiss goodnight.
T: okay, i'm gonna get ready for bed.
L: could you wait? I still need to tell you something but i wanna go to the twins first.
T: okay, i'll wait in our room.
L: okay
Lucy went to Max first, he's sound asleep. She carefully kissed his head.
L: good night buddy
She got up and closed the door, she went to Sophie's room. Sophie laid awake waiting for her mommy to come say good night.
S: mommy?
L: hi princes, why are you awake?
S: me wanted mommy.
L: i'm here now, are you gonna go to sleep?
S: yeah
L: good
She hugged her daughter and kissed her head.
L: good night princes
S: night mommy
Lucy got up and closed the door, she walked to the bedroom and sat down on bed.
T: what was it you wanted to tell me.
L: uh
Lucy started getting nervous her hands shaking.
L: it's more like a show you kind of thing... and you can figure it out.
T: okay what is it? Are you okay?
L: yeah
Lucy got the box and set it in front of him.
T: can i open it?
L: yeah go ahead
Tim opened the box and saw sweaters for the twins with the text "big brother" and "big sister"
T: those are cute, but uh-
L: there's more
Tim saw a baby outfit and picked it up.
He looked puzzled at Lucy and then back in the box. That's when he saw the test. He picked it up and teared up.
T: are you serious?
L: yeah...
T: you're pregnant?!
L: yep
T: we're having another baby!
L: shh the twins but yes
T: right... a baby
L: yeah
Tim got up and hugged Lucy tight.
T: you're pregnant!
L: yeah, never thought it would happen...
T: i know, but we're having another baby!
He kissed her head
T: i love you so much!
L: i love you too babe
T: i can't believe it, you're pregnant.
L: i know
T: did you think you were pregnant?
L: no just took a test with Angela.
T: thought she told you to stop testing?
L: she did
T: so why did you test now with her?
L: you have to promise me you won't tell anyone else okay?
T: okay...
L: long story short Angela missed her period and wanted to test but she was too scared to test alone so i ended up taking a test with her.
T: Angela's pregnant?
L: yes...
T: that's amazing! So there are gonna be 3 babies coming in a few months all so close in age.
L: yeah, but keep it quiet about Angela and me being pregnant.
T: yeah i will, don't you wanna tell Celina?
L: not right now, i wanna make sure everything's okay first. We can tell the first people after the first scan.
T: okay, how are you feeling?
L: overwhelmed, i'm feeling a lot all at once.
T: i'm here for you.
L: thank you, how are we gonna hide it from the rest? When do we tell the twins? And how?
T: it's gonna be okay, try not to worry too much about that okay?
L: i'll try
They hugged, Tim gently rubbing over her back.
T: i've got you baby.
L: hm, let's go to bed i'm tired.
T: okay, i love you
L: i love you too babe.
They got ready for bed and cuddled up together.
Both their hands resting on Lucy's stomach.
T: crazy to think about the fact there's a tiny baby inside you.
L: yeah, feels like a miracle.
T: our miracle, how big is our little miracle now?
L: uh, i can check on that pregnancy app.
Lucy got her phone and downloaded the app again and signed into her profile.
L: okay so 2-3 weeks is around the size of a poppy seed. But it says that for 4 weeks.
T: okay, that's really tiny.
L: yeah, i'll call for an appointment tomorrow.
T: okay let me know when the first appointment is. I'll clear our schedules then.
L: okay, do you think i should start working less?
T: why?
L: with 2 kids and one on the way, i want to have enough attention for all of them. And not for them to feel like they're raised by a nanny.
T: the twins love you so much and they know that you are the one that raised them and not our nanny. They come to you when something happens.
L: true but it'll be different with the twins going to school and having a new born at home.
T: we'll figure it out, if you wanna work less that's okay but you're not on your own for this.
L: okay
T: i can work less as well, i'm the one that has the most hours.
L: yeah, i hate it that i have to leave them for work but i also love the job so much.
T: i know, are you worried about it being too much with 3 kids.
L: kinda, and how i'll manage to be there for the twins during pregnancy.
T: i've got you baby, i'll step up when it's too much for you.
L: okay, thank you
T: no problem, go close your eyes.
L: hm, good night
T: good night baby
They both fell asleep in each other's arms.
Max had a nightmare and woke up screaming for his mommy. Tim and Lucy both woke up.
L: oh Max
They got up and went to his room.
T: what's wrong bud?
M: daddy? Mommy okay?!
L: mommy's right here, it's okay.
M: mommy? "Sobs"
L: shhh
Lucy picked him up and held him on her chest.
Sophie walked in as well.
S: Max okay?
T: it's okay, mommy's got him. Let's get you back to bed.
S: okay
Tim put Sophie back to bed and came back to Max's room.
L: did you have a bad dream?
M: yeah, mommy hurt.
L: mommy's okay, you can go back to sleep.
M: mommy stay?
L: mommy has to go back to sleep too.
M: oh
T: it's okay buddy, mommy's safe and so are you.
M: okay
L: good night bud
She kissed his head and laid him back down in bed.
L: night light is on
M: okay night
T: good night buddy.
Tim and Lucy got up and went back to bed as well.
L: okay now i'm really exhausted.
T: i know, good night baby
L: good night
They drifted off to sleep again.
