"And that's why we have to use these equations to answer this problem."
The teachers voice rang out as I mindlessly drew random things on my paper. I slightly bopped my head along to the music playing in my airpods, my chin resting on my palm. The best part of the song was coming u-
I felt a nudge on my shoulder, "Wanna hang tomorrow? There's a huge party going on." Ana whispered, her eyebrows raising mischievously.
I thought about it for a moment, my lips in a tight line. "I don't know. You already know how my parents are."
Ana rolled her eyes and scoffed, "You're gonna be an adult in like what— two months?" She counted with her fingers, holding up two.
"You gotta start rebelling or something."
I sighed, my pen tapping on my paper, "I can't just do that. I have to keep a good relationship with my parents. Besides, I don't like partying that much, you know that."
Ana rolled her eyes, leaning back in her chair to stretch. "You're boring. Seriously, the party is gonna be fun. Oh and James might be there." She smirked and winked at me.
I gagged at her wink, shaking my head, "I already told you I don't like james. He was like—what? My seventh grade crush? Get over it already."
Ana chuckled slightly, leaning forward and resting her elbows on the desk. "Oh come on, you guys had a thing going on before Cady ruined it. And I literally see you staring at him all the time."
I rolled my eyes, taking out my airpod case and putting on my other airpod, blocking out all the sounds coming from Ana's obnoxious mouth. She frowned and rolled her eyes at me, putting her attention back on the teacher.

After sitting in a long and boring class it was finally time for lunch. I calmly packed my things up as soon as the bell rang, my mind already thinking about the delicious pizza i'd soon be shoving into my mouth. I hung my backpack over my shoulder, making my way out of the classroom.
I entered the hallway packed with other students. I unfortunately had to walk behind a group of slow walkers in front of me-
"What the fuck?" I rubbed my head, a stinging pain rushing through my head and to the rest of my body. In front of me was one of the blue lockers that hasn't been used in years, and I just so happened to be slammed into it.
I looked behind me, seeing a group of guys laughing their asses off like if I was a clown in a circus. There was a guy standing right behind me, also laughing his ass off.
"Watch it shorty, I didn't see you there. Did you hit the locker too hard?" He said mockingly.
"You're an asshole." I spat out, still rubbing the throbbing spot on my forehead.
He chuckled looking at his friends before looking back at me, "Looks like someone's mad. Tell you what sweetheart," He leaned on the locker, placing his arm over my head "You're invited to my party tonight— you know, to make up for this little encounter."
I narrowed my eyes at him, feeling my anger building up, "You're apologizing by inviting me to your party? How pathetic." I pushed away from the locker and him.
"Aw, don't call me that, sweetheart. Seriously, go to my party, you'll have fun." He said with a smug smirk on his face.
I stepped away from him, putting some space between us. Behind him were his friends still seemingly laughing their asses off.
