The Avengers Babysit Loki?!

Mother

After they finish celebrating, everyone goes to bed. Tony gave Loki a spare room, right across the hallway from Thor. It is decorate in green, Loki's favorite color. No one else knows this, but Tony actually built that room for Loki when he first built the tower. Thor was so used to having Loki's room right across the hall, that Tony built one for Loki. It not only made it feel more like home to Thor, but also gave him hope that his brother might come back. As Tony walks out of the room he looks at the label on it, it says storage. He reaches up and rips it off to revel the name, Loki.

Loki is fast asleep when he hears someone calling his name. He opens his eyes, he can't believe what he is seeing. He gets out of bed and stands up. He swallows the lump in his throat.

"Mother?" Loki asks.

"So now I am your mother?" Frigga asks. Loki now has tears in his eyes.

"You have always been my mother. I never meant what I said. I am so sorry. I love you, please, please forgive me mother. I'm so sorry." Loki says.

"I know you are dear. I have never stopped loving you, and I have already forgiven you." Frigga says, she hold out her arms. Loki runs to her and hugs her, he is crying now.

"I missed you so much. I'm sorry. I'm sorry! Mother I'm so sorry!" Loki says, he buries his head into Frigga's shoulder and cries. Frigga wraps her arms around her son and smooths his hair.

"It's OK dear. You did nothing, you have no need to feel sorry." Frigga says.

"But it was my fault, it was my fault." Loki says. Frigga pulls away and cups Loki's face in her hands.

"No Loki, it wasn't." Frigga says.

"But I.........I." Loki stutters he can't even get his words out.

"You didn't do anything. You didn't do anything. Do you hear? It was not your fault." Frigga say. Loki starts to cry again, he hugs his mother again, tightly. "Don't cry dear."

"I can't help it mother. I miss you so much." Loki says.

"I miss you too." Frigga says. "I am very proud of you."

"You are? But why? Why do I deserve your pride? What have I done to deserve you to be proud of me?" Loki asks.

"Just look how you have tuned your life around. You saved your brother and his friends. And you are now worthy of Mjolnir, that just shows how much you have changed. You are happy now, that's all I ever wanted. I wanted you to come back and be my son, be your father's son, and be Thor's brother, be happy again, and you did. I couldn't be more proud." Frigga says. "I finally have my sweet baby boy back."

Frigga kisses Loki's forehead.

"I love you, and you are my son, never forget that." Frigga say.

"I love you too mother." Loki says. Frigga smile, then starts to fade away. Loki looks at her, then he hugs her tight. "No! No mother! Don't go! Don't leave me! Mother please don't leave me!"

"I love you my son." Frigga says as she continues to fade away.

"I love you mother." Loki says through tears. She's gone. Loki collapse to his knees. He screams.

Thor is woken up by a horrible scream. Right away he knows who it came from. He gets up and walks across the hall. He knocks on the door, no answer. He decides to just go in. Thor sees Loki on his knees with his head in his hands. He hesitates for a second, then walks over to Loki.

"Loki?" Thor asks, Loki doesn't move, Thor puts a hand on Loki's shoulder. Loki take his head out of his hands and looks at Thor. Thor hugs Loki, Loki leans towards Thor, allowing himself to be hugged.

"I miss her, Thor." Loki says. Thor's heart sinks, he knows right away who Loki is talking about. And he knows Loki has been crying. Loki never cries, ever since he turned ten, he hardly ever cried, with an exception of just a few times.

"I.......I know Loki. I miss her too." Thor says and hugs him tighter. Loki closes his eyes again, trying to hold back tears.

The Next Morning

Loki walks into the kitchen to see everyone in there. He acts like he is wide awake, but really he hardly slept. Everyone looks up.

"Hey, how was your first night as a Avenger?" Tony asks.

"Fine." Loki says, he yawns, so much for the not tired act. He sits down and looks around the table at everyone.

Thor is practically asleep, he has never been a morning person. Steve is drinking coffee and doing the cross word in the newspaper. Bruce is cooking breakfast. Tony is trying to get the grease off his face, he stayed up all night working on something. Clint is looking at a bird magazine. Natasha is drinking coffee too, she looks like the only one who is really awake. Loki glances at everyone, then looks back at Natasha.

"Are you wearing my helmet?" Loki asks.

"Yup." Natasha says, no shame.

"You'll get used to it, she's wearing my shirt." Steve says.

"She's wearing my sweat pants." Bruce says.

"She's wearing my socks." Tony says.

"She's wearing my jacket." Thor says.

"She's wearing my shoes." Clint says.

"Yeah there a little too big." Natasha says. "Hey Loki. How do you wear this thing all the time? It keeps falling down in my face."

"I'm assuming it's too big for you." Loki says.

"Everything on me is too big! All of you are huge!" Natasha says. "Loki, make your head shrink."

"Why would I do that?" Loki asks.

"Because I like this helmet." Natasha says. "What to I have to yell another now?"

"Ehehehe!"

Nobody told Loki that they heard him talking last night. That they heard him scream. Thor had told them of Frigga, and how close she and Loki were. So they acted like they never heard a thing, for Loki's sake. They also didn't really tell him how happy they are that he has joined the team.

"Ha, they think they have won. This is only a minor setback. They have no idea what I am capable of. Of course I knew I couldn't defeat them while they are still so powerful. But take that power away, and their lives are mine." Vritra says as she looks at the vial of poison in her hand. "This is only the beginning."
