Part 9 - Together And Gone

Your hand was resting on his bare chest and his chin on top of your head. It turned Morning pretty quickly. You woke up to Thor still sleeping. He looked so cute sleeping you didn't want to wake him so you carefully slipped out off bed and wondered into the bathroom. You finished in the bathroom and trampled over yours and Thor's pjs to get back into the warmth of the cosy bed.
"Morning beautiful" Thor said sitting up slightly
"Morning, Babe" You said leaning into his chest. He smiled and stroked your smooth hair.
"How did I get so lucky?" You said playing with his long golden locks of hair. He chuckled softly. "How did I get so lucky?" He repeated kissing the back of your neck sending shivers down your spine. "We need to get up. I have to work!" You exclaimed trying to get up but Thor had a clasp of your arm and wouldn't let you go. "Don't go..." he said giving you sad eyes. "I have work! Stake will kill me if I'm late! We can carry this in later now let me go before I cut all that beautiful hair of yours off" you said giggling. He playfully looked shocked. "Not my hair!" He said laughing and letting you go. Annoyed, you got up for work and changed into a skirt and blazer. Walking out, you gave one last quick smile and wave to Thor and closed the door behind you. An excited Ella approached you jumping around.
"What?" You asked laughing at her.
"Me and Steve are dating! It's official!" She excited hugged you. "Wow! I'm so happy for you!" You exclaimed hugging her back. "I would celebrate with you but I need to get to work" You smiled and walked into the elevator down into the meeting room where you met Tony Stark. You discussed burning things about finances and taxes and stupid shit like that. Finally, you finished your job and sat in the kitchen waiting for your coffee to brew. While you waited, Thor walked in and sat next to you.
"Hey, handsome" you said leaning on the counter top.
"Hey, babe. So, we need to talk"
"Talk bout what?"
"I need to go back to Asgard. My father, apparently he's missing and I need to make sure everything's alright. I shouldn't be gone for too long though" he said holding your hand. You sadly nodded "Alright. Well, you be safe. When are you leaving?" You asked. "Now" he said sadly. You were shocked he was leaving so early. "I'll try be back as soon as possible, babe" he said
"I'll miss you. I thought we could finish what we started this morning" You said giving him puppy eyes. He chuckled and smiled. "Well, I better get going. I'll see you soon. Miss you" he said kissing and hugging you. "Wait, Thor!" You said just as he was about to walk out the door. "What?" He turned around. "I love you" you but your lip nervously. He smiled "I love you too, Y/N" as he walked off outside and flew up to Asgard. Sadly, you watched him from afar leave. You didn't know when he would come back, and he went so suddenly. You wished you had more time before he left. Hopefully , he'll be back in a few days.

A few days later, still no sign of Thor. You were sat drinking coffee early in the morning in your bed. You were wearing one of his hoodies, way too big for you. It reminded you of him so you didn't really mind. There was a quit knock in the door and it opened. It was Nat. "Hey Nat, what's up?" You asked faking a smile. She stood in-front of the bed with her hands in her hips. "Are you alright?" She asked. "Yes? Why would you think I'm not?"
"Because you're still in the same clothes the day Thor left. I know you miss him. But he'll be back soon" she said sitting down next to you. "I know, there's just something that doesn't seem right, like he's going to be gone for a while. I feel like I can just tell" you said sadly looking down. Nat placed a delicate hand on your shoulder and hugged you.

A few months later. Still no sign of Thor. You and the avengers were sat in the living room when suddenly, something came crashing into the floor creating a giant hole and flying everyone backwards.
"What the hell?!" Tony exclaimed coughing. Steve got in a battle stance ready to fight whatever it was.
