10 Months After DC

The Avengers arrive back at the tower after raiding another HYDRA base. Another bust. They still haven't found Loki's scepter and they're beginning to get frustrated.

Bruce and Tony head back to the lab. Trying to get a lock on where the scepter might be. Natasha and Clint head to the training room to take out their frustrations. Thor heads out to visit Jane to hopefully get some much needed personal time until their next raid.

Freya and Steve are currently headed down to their lockers to store their gear. Since arriving back at the tower, Tony had made new suits for Freya and Steve. Since theirs had been lost during the DC situation. Freya's is the same color and design, but is sturdier and looks like it has armor plating. The shoulders are a tad bulkier as well, but her movements haven't been impaired the least bit. Steve's almost resembles the stealth suit he had, while going back to his original brighter red, white and blue colors. Each suit now sporting an Avengers logo on both shoulders. After cleaning up and changing into more comfortable clothes, they both head up to the lounge. Walking in, Freya throws herself down on one of the couches with a huff. Steve smiles at her in amusement as he sits down next to her. He lifts her head to lay it on his lap and plays with her hair.

"We'll find it, Frey. It's just a matter of time before we locate the right base. They can't keep it from us forever."

"I know," she sighs. "I'm just frustrated. I mean, we have no idea what they've been able to do with it in the meantime. What they've created. Plus, I just want to get back to looking for Bucky."

"I agree, but there's only so much we can do."

Freya hums in understanding. She closes her eyes, finding the feeling of his hands in her hair soothing. Suddenly, the elevator dings open. Afraid it's her dad, Freya sits up and they quickly move away from each other.

"It's just me. As you were," Natasha smirks at them. Sighing in relief, Freya lays her head back on his lap and he resumes running his fingers through her hair. The redhead grabs a water bottle and sits on the adjacent couch. "Are you two ever gonna tell Tony?" she asks.

"When the time is right. Finding the scepter is more important than informing Iron Man that I'm in love with his daughter."

"You know he's gonna have a meltdown, right, Red? It's not something Steve and I wanna deal with right now."

"No, you guys are right," Natasha agrees with a hum. "He's gonna find out eventually, though. It'll just be better if it comes from you two."

"I know," Freya sighs as she climbs to her feet and looks down at Steve. "I'm gonna get ready for bed. Your room or mine tonight?"

"Yours. I'll be up in a bit. I wanted to talk to Nat about something," he smiles. She gives him a smile and a quick kiss.

"Sounds good. Night, Nat."

"Night, Frey," Natasha smiles. As soon as Freya leaves the room, Natasha turns to Steve. "So what do you need advice on?"

"How did you know I needed advice?" Steve's face scrunches in confusion.

"The look on your face screams it," she snorts. "Is it about Freya?"

He nods and stays silent for a few moments before he attempts to explain his situation.

"I, uh. I don't know how to approach something with her. A-And I honestly have no idea h-"

"You wanna take the next step in your relationship, but you don't know how." He nods as a blush begins to creep up his neck. She notices his discomfort and quirks an eyebrow. "You two still haven't done the deed?"
