Mom refused to talk to me for 45 minutes before she asked how she could help. "We need everyone working together to pull this off," I replied. "So can I take notes on you to give Loki or something?" I pursed my lips. "Maybe ask him? This was kinda his plan, after all." She nodded fervently and walked off.
Nat walked up behind me and rubbed my shoulder. "It's weird. Because you hear all those stories of like "I was adopted and I was super awkward meeting my bio mom" or whatever. I never really thought of myself that way, but that's really the situation. And I'm super awkward. And I'm not gonna lie, when she tried to do the "you're playing favourites" thing, it kinda hurt." She nodded. "Yeah. That's not really fair. Don't be afraid to let her know if she's upsetting you. No-one has the right to make you feel like that. She doesn't get special privileges just because she's your mom. Kay?" I nodded. "Thanks, Nat." She smiled and nodded. "No-one can make you feel inferior without your permission." She added before sauntering off to help Bruce with something.
Tony walked up. "Whatcha up to?" He asked. "Trying to write down somethings Dad might need to know. I wanna run him through a few tests. Even though Viggo doesn't know me well, dad should be able to fool anyone. I don't want to take any chances. It could get him killed or at very least hurt. I don't want either one, so I'm helping this way. He's gonna spend all day with me this week, to try and learn some of my mannerisms. We can't mess this up." He nodded. "You'll get no argument from me, kid. I never thought I'd hear myself saying this, but I'd miss Loki if something happened to him. I'll confiscate your electronics if that sentence is repeated in this context outside of this conversation. Capeesh?" I nodded but saw dad walking up.
"Greatly appreciated. I'd be quite distressed if something happened to you too, Anthony." Tony threw his hands up and bolted. "I'm done, you have fun with him, kid." I chuckled and shook my head. "How are you, älskling?" He asked. "Doing good, trying to think about little things about myself for you to go over. Habits and stuff can be observed and mimicked, but I'm thinking of facts and crap." He nodded. "Sounds good. I heard you have a pop quiz planned?" I nodded. "You need to be able to fool anyone. Like I was telling Tony, Viggo may not know me that well, but I don't want to risk it." He nodded.
"Makes sense, and I appretiate it. I don't feel like having to put a baby's head in the ground "like an ostrich"?" I nodded. "Muy bien. Lo estás haciendo bien." He smiled. "Gracias mi querido. Miro adelante a sus enseñanzas." I smiled and jotted something else down after biting the pen a moment. "Vine references? Are those the things you and spider-boy quote?" I nodded. "Yeah. Vine was an app that was done away with in 2017. RIP vine. Repeat after me. "Hurricane Katrina, more like Hurrincane Tortilla." "Oh, norns."
A/N: Sorry this chapter was a filler, but I can't sit still and focus long enough to write. I moved like 20 times just in the first two paragraphs. Hopefully, I'll have a better one out soon, but I need coffee... or sleep. I fell asleep standing up today. Oops.
Does anyone have songs that make them super happy to hear? Like your joie de vie? For me it's the Pride and Prejudice Soundtrack (2005), or Denise LeSalle's "Trapped by A Thing Called Love".
