His face was so close to mine, taking my breath away as I was captured by those mysterious green orbs.

Nothing but him.

"Forever." He whispered, his minty breath fanning my face as I speechless stared back at him.

Forever.

With him, forever seemed so easy. So inviting.

His lips were so close to mine, almost brushing against it softly.

Nothing but us.

With just the two of us I felt as though we can conquer the entire world.

All of a sudden I was pulled away, my world spinning around me as I found myself placed in a church. I was at the centre of the aisle, people watching me as they anticipated me to walk down.

I connected my eyes with his forest green ones that looked undoubtedely enchanting. He looked gorgeous wearing the groom's tuxedo. A smile made its way on my lips as I took slow steps towards him.

I was so close to him, only a few centimetres from grabbing his hand when all of a sudden dark orange filled my gaze.

My breathing constricted and my voice was ripped from me.

Gray! I tried to scream but nothing came out.

Her mischievous brown eyes found mine as she smirked at me.

Gray! He didn't bother turning around to look at me as I was hopelessly left on the cold ground, my arm reaching out for him as she stole him away from me.

Gray!

I was startled as I woke up, panting hard with my heart aggressively racing against my chest. My ribs felt tightened and for a moment I thought my dream was true.

I placed my hand on my chest, feeling my forehead trickle down with sweat as I attempted to catch my breath.

A nightmare that I longed to burn. It was so stinging reminder that Gray is engaged now and even after three months, I can't help but be tormented by it, nervous about the wedding that could take place anytime soon.

I never used to have these, but now, every night I suffer from the same one with a different storyline. Each one ends up with me standing in front of Gray in a church set up for a wedding and every time I get close to him, I'm pushed away.

My eyes shut for a moment, as usual forcing myself to take the deep breaths that seemed to erase it all, but deep down, it was still haunting.

I fluttered my eyes open, quickly recovering from the nightmare I should be used to receiving by now.

My eyes darted around, finding the empty space beside me on the bed, immediately drawing a furrow on my eyebrows.

Where was he?

The bedroom of his apartment was a complete mess with both our clothes randomly thrown on the floor and the balcony door was widely open, letting a soft breeze of wind into the room.

I climbed out of the bed, wrapping the blanket around my naked body as I ambled towards the balcony.

There he was, standing shirtless with his sweatpants hanging low against his lips as he leaned against the balcony railings.

"Cal." I called out, bringing his attention towards me as he turned around. Though a small smile spread across his cheeks, his eyes told me something else. They were consumed with a harsh, sullen downcast, so painful that it made my heart tug at the mere sight, allowing concern to flood over me.
