Depeche Mode are going to record Exciter but this time they don't have an official studio so they find an exotic place to stay and Dave will meet danger to his mental and body control...

Eve feels like she was born in the wrong generation. She doesn't feel like she really fits in with the girls at her school. While everyone else is listening to "modern music", she's dancing to The Smiths in her room. So, on her 16th birthday, she makes a wish to fit in. Little did she what would happen next.

When Alan Wilder became a member of Depeche Mode in 1982, the band's lead singer Dave Gahan was quick to fall for him. Although their relationship at first seemed heavenly, as the years progressed and they matured, it became anything but. Now, it is 1993 and the two of them are again inseparable. However, their relationship is soon taken hold of by toxicity once more when Alan receives the shock of his life from Dave. What will Dave and Alan need to do to make amends? In a small town in the English countryside known as Aylesbury, a group of families work together to look after John Taylor's ill and cancer-stricken 13-year-old son, Andy. However, under unknown circumstances, Andy developed teleportation powers. In this episodic one-shot series, we follow Andy and his adventures within the village while he faces 3 foes, a girl who is obsessed with his father, John and accuses him of faking his cancer, the most-hated person in the village, Morrissey and of course, his illness. We also explore themes of brotherhood, friendship and challenges. Disclaimer: This is a series of one shots so nothing is continuous (unless it's a two-part). Contains swearing, mentions of cancer and sensitive topics, not recommended for readers below 13. This is an alternate universe so none of the characters correspond to the people irl (except their personalities and sexualities in the case of George Michael and Limahl). Book cover will come soon. Felt like this should be a different "book" since it takes place a few days after Martins... incident

1984 - Depeche Mode are in Berlin recording "Some Great Reward" at Hansa Tonstudio. Martin and Alan have an argument and Alan has to extend an olive branch in order to get the recording session back on track.

Basildon, 1978. Andy Fletcher finds himself in a sticky situation and Martin Gore ponders the future.

It's 1986 and Depeche Mode are touring for their newly released album, Black Celebration. Alan and Martin have been in a relationship for 3 years; over the course of that time period Alan has watched as Martin's drinking habit has spiralled out of control, at its worst whilst on the road. Their relationship now strained, who or what will redeem it and break the fragile tension between them? (*DISCLAIMER*: All events in this story are FICTIONAL and should not be taken seriously. The moon is shining in the sky, reminding me of so many other nights, when my eyes had been so red, I'd been mistaken for dead, but not tonight My interpretation of the song through a story. 1981. Alan stumbles across Martin on the edge of a bridge one night. He later finds out that Martin is prepared to take his own life. Will he be able to save him or will it be too late? (Nothing in this is fact it's just a nice little story that this song always makes me think about)

When one night changes Martins life forever can Dave help him and make Martin smile the same way he used to, or is Martin a lost cause. This fic revolves around the topic of rape, if this is a triggering topic for you please be careful or don't read. I will not put warnings on chapters as it will likely be a constant topic throughout. Again this book has mature content and isn't for all readers. Also this fic isn't accurate to real life, for example this is very young Depeche Mode, earlier than Playing The Angel however I make reference to the song precious, or I may put songs on an album they don't really belong to purely for the purpose of this book, so please know it's intentional.

Parenthood. A mammoth task. Alan and Martin's lives were flipped on their heads when they welcomed their daughter Poppi in November 1986. Since her birth, not a single aspect of their lives have remained the same, with the one exception of their roles in the music industry. It's the Autumn of 1987 and the air tinged with a chill is filling those of Depeche Mode's lungs as they prepare to embark on a global tour for their recently surfaced album, Music For The Masses. Poppi's first birthday vastly approaching, however, how will her parents juggle one of the greatest milestones of their lives and a tour at a clashing time period as well as other challenges parenthood may bring?
