ivy's family has a history of famous chess players. she was not greatly familiar with the game until she went to one of her father's tournaments. from only going once, her life changed completely.

This story is of Beth Harmon in 'The Queens Gambit.' ( The Netflix original ) None of these characters belong to me, and I am only using them for writing purposes. I hope you enjoy this book and what I interpret what happened between Benny Watts and Beth Harmon !

Benny Watts is done with Beth Harmon. (Except, he absolutely is not.)

They both irritated each other deeply, but secretly and subtlety grew a liking to one another. How long will it take until one of them breaks? (disclaimer: I do not own any of the Queens Gambit characters except Marie, which i think is pretty obvious.)

Beth accepts Benny's offer to get drunk in New York after her Paris defeat.

Almost a year after Russia, Beth Harmon returned to her bad habits. Drinking, smoking and ofcourse iridium. She pushed everyone away that she knew and maybe most of all, Benny Watts. With the little determination to live she has left she tries to rebuild bridges with her friends and lovers. And of course this doesn't go without ups and downs and a lot of chess. I fell in love with the queens gambit a week ago and literally ordered the book right after, because I'm not ready move on from this serie yet. I immediately fell in love with Benny Watts the second Beth walked up those stairs where she met him. ofcourse Benny wasn't the endgame and I wasn't happy about that so I started to write this fanfic. I hope I'm not the only one who ships benny and Beth over Townes and Beth. I don't own the characters! Amazingly written by Walter Tevis and directed by Scott Frank.
