There's no solution, no way of masking the truth with artificial hope, Fleeter is dying, and there's nothing anyone can do. But more lies behind the greying, illness-ridden cat than his comfortable family and quaint garden swathed in moonlight, a repertoire of memories replayed when best suited. It is upon the knowledge of his imminent departure that the cogs began to turn for Fleeter, and in a last attempt to salvage meaningfulness and worth in him, he lets the wheels of the past guide him forward one last time.
