Clockspire is a marvel of kinetic architecture, a city that feels less like a collection of buildings and more like a single, massive living organism made of brass and iron. The air is thick with the scent of roasted coffee and metallic oil, hummed over by a constant chorus of rhythmic clipping, clacking, and hissing steam. Everything is polished to a warm, amber glow, lit by gaslight lanterns and the fiery orange flicker of coal-burning furnaces that pulse like a heartbeat from the city's lower levels. The feel of the town is one of organized chaos and communal reliability, and there is a whimsical, hand-crafted charm to every corner. It is a place where a neighbor might use a mechanical claw to hand a fresh baguette to a friend across a gap in the moving street, and where the winding pneumatic tubes provide a constant soundtrack of rushing air. Despite the heavy industrial machinery, Clockspire feels cozy and vibrant-a place where the clunking gears aren't just tools, but the very pulse that keeps the community connected and moving forward.

The land of Arindel is split. In a controversy over land, power, and magick, heroes will arise to save the people from their worst enemy. Themselves…. Lieutenant Commander Alexa Lane’s life has never been easy. Born the bastard daughter of the Duke of Faewood, she has been treated like the scum of the world since the day she was born. When she turns sixteen, she leaves Faewood and travels to Arindel’s capitol, Rin, and joins the Arindel Royal Naval Air Force’s First Army, hoping to escape a life of forced seclusion and torment. She soon finds that she has a talent for piloting the Airships, allowing her to quickly move through the ranks. Three years later, she is finally convinced that she has left behind the taint of her blood and can move on. But when a man who calls himself the Duke of Faewood shows up at the military base she is stationed at, he brings along with him terrible news. He tells Alexa that his name is August and that her father has died, leaving August, his legitimate heir, with the title. Before he died, the duke had tasked August with finding his half-sister, and to bring her back to Faewood. Reluctantly, she agrees and together, they set off. When they arrive in Faewood, the two discover a secret older than the country of Arindel itself, a secret capable of destroying their world. And they are the only two people in the world with the capability of stopping it. In a race against time to find an ancient clock and foil the plans of an evil tyrant, the pair discovers the true meaning behind a secret, some magick, and the greatest power of all. The first novel in a Steampunk fantasy series, The Eternity Clock is ticking. And time is running out.

It's a comedic rollercoaster of her thoughts, misadventures, and the bizarre antics of her pet cat, Pudding. Samantha filled this book with her thoughts, experiences, and reflections on daily life.

A shaft of ruddy, reddish light sliced through a sliver of a window, boarded up with rotted planks. The scarlet strip landed straight across the face of the pocket watch, as though the gaze of an evil eye had glanced in from Outside and landed on the stray object. The inner workings of the little pocket watch hesitated, contemplating the silence of a century, then began to work, gliding into motion. Its soft, accentuated movement spoke to the silence, ponderous...deadly. Tick, tock. Tick, tock. Twenty-four hours... ~~~~~~ Something draws my eye. A pocket watch lies on its back on a low shelf. It's unassuming, small and copper, illuminated in a sliver of light. It-it's nothing. I shouldn't be staring. But something about it is different. Something's wrong. What, though? What, what, what? I'm paralyzed, can't move, can't think. And then it hits me: the clock is moving. The miniscule minute hand is ticking away softly, counterclockwise. Like a countdown.
